    I replaced the stock P/J pickups in my Ibanez GSRM20 Mikro Bass with a P/J set of EMG Geezer Butler pickups, and the tone went from decent to amazing. I can only recommend it. Definitely no boomyness. Quite on the contrary, these pickups are really articulate and adds a ton of definition.

    Good condition with the wrong side of velcro (fuzzy) stuck to the bottom. No box. I’m open to trades on other tuners that take a battery so I can just throw it on the floor, cash either way.

    Good condition with box, missing the top of one of the knobs but still have the battery compartment. Price is firm but includes shipping.

    Similarly, the inclusion of Sledgehammer into the set necessitated that I purchase an octave pedal. Bought through the classifieds here on Basschat for £40, but I guess that dumps out of the 2024 challenge 😬

    The others have decided we should have a second Oasis song in the set. My own view is that one Oasis song in the set is at least one too many, but that's democracy for you. The song is Live Forever, which may get treated to a non-original bassline, and it means I've got to play through it at least once to the record, which in turn means listening to that ghastly Mancunian whine, like fingernails on a blackboard.

    Well, that's me out. With new singer comes key changes, my laziness got the better of me and I dipped my toe in the pitch shifter market. I bought a Hotone Harmony mini pedal. I'm not going to insult your intelligence with loopholes and justifications - while it may not be a bass specific pedal, it will be going on my pedalboard and used with basses - I don't play any other instruments. I can now concentrate fully on keeping score...

    All wired up and strung with some fresh Newtone strings, looks excellent but needs a little time under tension to settle before I get it set up properly I think. Not a problem as I forgot to charge a 9v battery in preparation. It’s clearly been a while since I’ve played an active bass 🥲

    You should try one out with a pedal or three or four. What you put in comes out so unless you go to town on processing it you get vanilla.
