Hi all! I'm probably getting pretty fed up with my posts, but today I finally finished building the pick attack, and I want to show you what happened. I apologize for the poor performance, I am not a tool player, the sound is not processed in any way, there is no vst. I am ready to answer any questions regarding the wal amplifier. tutu.mp4

I wouldn't like that. Daryl

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Daryl

It's easy not to notice gradual deterioration of something, which reminds me that I really must give my Eko Ranger 6 its five-yearly restring about now. I might even clean the fretboard.

Is a new mass-produced bass ever worth more than £1500
tauzero replied to Beedster's topic in General Discussion
I suppose it's different for us pub band weekend warriors, my bandmates don't even know how many strings my bass has or whether it's fretted or not, the last thing on their minds is whether it's a Fender (no, it never is). -

tauzero replied to Beedster's topic in General Discussion
Ah yes, this reminds me now. There was a Moffat bass bash a few years ago that Dave Swift, he of the Jules Holland boogie-woogie band, was the special guest at. In the Q&A session, someone asked him how many basses he had and he replied "about 65". He was then asked to repeat that so we could record it. Still, he only gets on telly now and again so he can't be that real. -

If it's a vintage P Bass you find it might be twice the price of the Lull rather than half the price. I've got a nice USA Lakland PJ that I play more than anything else. It's probably the equivalent of your Lull. It sounds great, but not really different to a good Fender bass. I've had it a long time and it's a superb amalgamation of the best things about old Fender basses and modern construction. Just a very very useful bass. It's much better made than a Fender but in sonic terms it's essentially the same. That's no bad thing because Fenders sound good, but contrary to a lot of what I see on YouTube from supposed experts, if there is a better rendition of the Fender tone then it's a subtle difference with all of these basses. I'm talking about basses like Moolon and Olinto et al. I'm not including Sadowsky because that's all about the preamp and how it compliments the bass overall. -

You know you could cure that by selling me that Sei Flamboyant fretless. -
JMJ Owners - Have you needed to shield your JMJ?
Jean-Luc Pickguard replied to Jean-Luc Pickguard's topic in Bass Guitars
Before shielding there was noise that came & went as I moved the bass about pointing the headstock in different directions, not much, but it was there. After shielding, the noise was no longer present. -

JD bought a Darkglass Infinity pedal from myself. Speedy transaction, quick responses and a pleasure to do business with. Great bass chatter 👍

If someone had sent a polite PM and explained all this then fair enough. It’s the way this has played out so publicly with someone who has explained to us that they’re living with cancer. Perhaps I’m sensitive as I know several people living with (and dying with) the condition. I appreciate and respect rules and pay my membership. From what I read in the last thread, Dad said it would be ok to ask for value of items. It is what it is and you live and learn.
