I've reached a point where there's really nothing else I want or need in the musical line. I have two basses and two guitars I really like, bass and guitar pedalboards I am happy with, a lightweight amp and cab adequate for any gigging I am ever likely to do, three keyboards (an 88-note stage piano for home use, a lightweight rompler for any gigging needs and a microkorg that I hardly ever use), a handful of mics, a decent laptop for recording with more software on it than I will ever use, and a digitakt for drum sequencing. Oh, and a nyckelharpa. I miss the thrill of comparing products, watching youtube videos about gear I might buy and all that. I know I'm very lucky to have the things I have, but I do miss GAS, which is an odd situation to find myself in. As a child of the sixties, I grew up believing in the consumerist myth, and now I no longer worship at that shrine, it has left a bit of a hole in my life. I have reached "peak stuff" and now am more excited to get rid of unneeded items than to acquire more. Will it last???

Mesa Powerhouse 210, 600w 8ohm. Great sounding cab but I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a 15’s guy and always go for my Diesel 115’s. And for the pubs I play one cab’s enough…, Really good all round order with nothing of note condition wise. Comes with original cover. No trades but don’t be afraid to make a reasonable offer.

The Tobias Classic 6 bass with serial number 2105 dates to the period immediately following Gibson's acquisition of Tobias, dating to late 1992 or early 1993. Production Period Details Gibson Transition: Michael Tobias sold the company to Gibson in 1990. Basses with serial numbers up to 2044 are considered the last "California" models (made in Burbank, Los Angeles). Nashville Production: Serial number 2105 follows the last California production serial number, indicating that this particular instrument was one of the first produced at Gibson's new facility in Nashville, Tennessee. The entire original luthiers did not relocate to Nashville, leading to differences in the production process compared to previous models. Features: Despite the change of location, the first basses produced in Nashville retained many of the original design features. This 6-string bass likely still features the asymmetrical neck and original Bartolini pickups/preamps. In short, your Tobias Classic 6 is a historic example that marks the transition from Michael Tobias' original ownership to Gibson's, making it an interesting piece for collectors and enthusiasts.

Refinishing Nitro over Poly - questions
BlueMoon replied to Twigman's topic in Repairs and Technical
This ^^^^^^ ………or first a binding coat of shellac over the prepared (sanded) poly. Nitro over shellac is fine. Your modelling airbrush reservoir is likely too small. Repeatedly refilling it during the job could create issues that you don’t need. Good luck. - Today

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crrx7zg9y9ko "I'm not overly attached to the bass but it would be nice if it went to someone who'll play it rather than shut it in a vault. It plays really well," the musician said. "In 1988, Panter sold the bass but bought it back in 2010 to use when The Specials reunited." -

Yes, due to a lack of product photography. I can either take the website offline for another month or two while I wait for customer orders to come through so I can photograph them or throw the pictures up with notes in the accompanying product descriptions. Ouch.

Sounds cool Dave. Please keep us up to date on this blues rock project. Daryl

Hi Dave, I hope it's just me being to picky. We hadn't played together for almost two months. I thought some of our endings were sloppy. Our lead guitarist was have problems with her pedal board. At times I thought the guitars were out of tune. And for this crowd we could have had more dance material. However, the song flow was good, no dead air between songs. There was always something happening on stage. Daryl

Thanks again , I had a bad night. I'll be fine as soon we have a good gig under our belts again. Daryl

Agree with that. I had to try and get copies of Transofrmed Man into shops when it was rereleased in the mid 90s and I still don't know if it is a brilliant p*sstake or just drug addled madness. His covers are generally pretty poor but I really like Has Been because it's mostly not covers and it has a sense of humour.
