  1. Past hour
  2. 2 bass straps 1 is the traditional Fender logo one, aka John deacon. 1 is a very decent one. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  3. Back from the break and a stinking cold, this is a very simple chart to get back into the thing. Ray Drummond's bass part to the tune Duke Ellington tune 'Melancholia' from the 1983 Wynton Marsalis album, 'Think Of One'. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/melancholia-wynton-marsalis/
  4. 3 power supplies. 2 previously used for bass pedals. I used it for a tonex, zoom ms60b+. The third one is a USB one, great for the new pedals which take USB or charging your phone mid gig. £19 delivered.
  5. This is an original number.
  6. An old Howling Wolf classic (though somewhat dubious subject matter). Famously covered by Ten Years After. Filmed at The Brook in Southampton.
  7. I’ll leave it on this weekend then I’ll open it ip into Reverb. 🤔
  8. It weighs 3.8kg. Electrics wise, its an LR Baggs designed 18v pre amp and the controls from front to back are Vol Vol Tone and an active on/off switch.
  9. ...he's the sort of person who will do anything for a bottle of wine so long as the understanding is that he doesn't guarantee results, and if it breaks again and he doesn't fancy/have time to look at it again that's just how it is (although in my experience he has fixed everything I have given him apart from one tricky GP12 that we still can't find the source of a buzz!). PM me if you have something as we are very close (about twenty minutes from Waterlooville).
  10. Found this while browsing and wanted to add my two cents. I’ve never seen a real first-order code for Thomann, but they sometimes run short promos or give small credits if you join their newsletter. Has anyone spotted anything recent? Would be good to know if they’ve changed their approach, especially for new customers looking to save a bit.
  11. Bought a dcx bass pedal from Andy. Totally problem-free transaction. Thanks Andy!
  12. The basschat recommended in ear system. Behringer P1 and kz zs10 earphones. Great condition, great sound. Pick up Leyland Lancashire or can post for £5.
  13. We get the occasional extended solo, and the lads do get excited... I can't climb onto chairs these days, I just have a walk around and a sit down.
  14. They're finally back. It has been a long, long time. Worth the wait though.
  15. apologies, it looked the same as the mkii on google, happy to be corrected if you know better, I'm not as in the know about the various versions of these. I haven't had any mods done to it...
  16. I've tried several sets of Sadowsky and Newtone strings with a tapered B recently. It makes the B easier to intonate properly and it also has better note definition when played higher up the neck.
  17. That’s not a MKII - there’s no toggle switch. Has it had a permanent Tim tuning mod done?

  19. Ah yes, this is true, the text you type in a normal reply box is saved by your browser and has nothing to do with the forum (specifically), other than the ID of the post you are replying to. On my machine they are contained within a database in my user profile area, this is on a PC, but it is browser and OS dependant.
  20. GAS is a a terrible thing. So there I was all content after a really good year, then boom and 'must have ' bass punched a mighty hole in the budget. So, my two latest acquisitions need new homes. They are brand effectively and we all know the G & L story so this is it, want a new one?, you wont find any better. Check out my other listing for my SB-2 or take a look at this... NOW £450 Anywho. 3 TSB Jazz bass, the G & L version, spicier pickups than your average J type bass in this price range. Beautifully finished and in 10/10 condition. Vinyl wrapped plate easily removed . I have been after a nice example of this since seeing Ritchie Kotzens 'riot'. I finally pulled the trigger on this new one in the early summer and very pleased i am too or was until i fell for 'another' way more expensive J beast. As with the SB-2 i'd love to keep it but needs must. I love the bridges on these bad boys. Fully set up with fresh EB slinkies. Can ship at buyer expense, pickup from Rochester or exchange somewhere near to the M25.

  21. No drummer last night, he cried off with a fever, the lightweight! So we tried Nice and Sleazy for something easy to do. We can mostly get through it in one pass, but the keyboardist hasn't learnt the solo yet, though she's singing it as well so we can forgive her. I need to work on my timing for "Oh shit, there goes the charabang", I miss the cue so we have to go around again. It doesn't matter, but feels awkward.
  22. Eden Ec08 - the perfect amp for home practice. Small, light and powerful. Great tone shaping with the tone and enhance dial. I've never had it more than half volume. Takes up no space at all. Has sockets to connect your phone /mp3 player etc and your headphones for silent practice. Collection Leyland Lancashire
  23. Lovely, glwts.
  24. Just weighed it. It comes in at 4.3kg on the bathroom scales (Sorry for the delay my old scales were broken)
