  2. Here we have a fantastic Glockenlang preamp, comprising Volume, Treble and Bass controls. Pull passive tone circuit activated from Push/Pull vol control. This was removed by my tech from another bass I got in a trade. If you use a twin pickup bass you will just need to obtain a suitable balance pot. The details: GLOCKENKLANG 2-band onboard preamp Active/passive switchable (at the volume push/pull) Treble-pot with +/- 18 dB@18 KHz in active mode, acting as classical high cut in passive mode Bass-pot with +/- 14 dB@40 Hz. Input-impedance (without Balance): 1,5 MOhm Frequency range: 20 Hz -20 KHz Power requirement: 9 volts/1,3 mA Min. installation depth: 28 mm (1.1″) Due to the high performance electronics, in flat position of the eq you can hear no difference between active and passive mode! £75 inc postage. Paypal (you pay fees) or bank transfer both fine. Please see my extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a simple, honest transaction.

  7. I don't have any of them at the moment but I still remember the feel and reponse of my previous C4 in terms of how it reacts to my playing nuances, left and right hand technique.
  8. Well going totally ott why not have wireless charging like my phone with a charging station built into your guitar stand.
  9. Can't wait for Jools to do a Eurovision medley in the Legends slot at Glasto.
  10. Would love to hear your initial opinions or maybe even a comparison with the FI, C4, EHX Micro synth, if you have any
  11. I did not - but thanks, you're right, that's an excellent price. (currently got my eye on an L-1000.. we'll see!)
  12. Love that colour, would be great with a bit of tort
  13. Bargain! As previously said the tuner, compression (via Toneprint), aux in (add in a bluetooth dongle for a few quid) and mute function make this a seriously useful yet still tiny box of tricks. I should really sell mine as I have a different small amp which covers the same ground but tbh I just don't want to.
  14. Blimey!! Just jumped on the Vox UK website to check if they've got a refurb'ed A1H (they haven't) and I see that the current Starstream range has gone headless - a 4-stringer and a fiver, both over two grand. I think that fits in well with the avant-garde design. https://www.voxamps.co.uk/collections/bass-guitars They're also doing a solid electric uke bass and the opening words of the promo spiel amused me: 'Enjoy the freedom of playing the ukulele without disturbing others.' Say no more! 🤣🤐
  15. Here we go. The top-hat is unobtrusive, albeit non-reversible. W for the win.
  16. Did you go for it in the end? If not - now might be a good time - Thomann selling the sunburst one for an absolute steal for some reason - https://www.thomann.co.uk/marcus_miller_z7_4_3_tone_sunburst.htm
  17. yeah I love the switching preset function with the main foot switch. And you get new knob parameters when you hold the voice or shape switch.
  18. The port on the side can be used with a tap to change through the presets and you can also use the man footswitch by holding it down, according to the manual on page 6 https://www.jimdunlop.com/content/manuals/MB301.pdf There is a lot of functionality that wasn't mentioned on the videos it seems.
  19. Hi all Got a couple of basses I’ve been meaning to list for a while, here’s the first. Brilliant bass, perfect B string, just not sonically where I’m finding I want to be at the moment: Body Wood: Alder Body Color: Altrosa (custom Color) High Gloss Neck Wood: Birdseye Roasted Maple Fretboard Wood: Roasted Birdseye Maple Scale: 34", 5-String Pickups: 1 delano JMVC, 1 delano MCFE/PU split Preamp: John East J Retro Deluxe, passive tone control Special: Aged Nickel Hardware, Black Block Inlays, Matching Headstock Gig bag: Included Weighing in at just 4kg is super light with a very comfy fast neck. The custom colour, altrosa, is even more stunning in person. I upgraded the preamp to a J Retro deluxe which gives more versatility and can really fatten up the sound in a way that the original preamp couldn’t. It originally came with gold hardware which I can include for the buyer if paying the full price. A few of minor dings to the nitro and one scratch on the back of the upper horn but in great condition. It’s a great bass so won’t be unhappy if it doesn’t sell. It’s currently being used at a theatre in London so in no rush. comes with Sandberg gig bag. Pickup possible from Chessington or central London. Will also ship. Any questions let me know Thanks Dan
  20. I always find it incomprehensible that folk form a loving bond with a wholly inanimate, impersonal object like, say, a car or a house, and yet here I am genuinely bereft at the passing of a loudspeaker. Strange chaps us humans. I just plugged into my hefty old 15" Trace Elliot cab and annoyed the neighbours one last time. Dreamed of owning this when I was a callow bass player with a Woolworths guitar and a head full of dreams. Now I'm at the far end of that road, grizzled, cynical, ancient beyond counting, and I can neither afford a vehicle that can carry it nor lift the damn thing. I put a solid old fashioned amp into it and cranked it beyond any level of neighborhood decency. Still sounds as amazing today as I dreamed it would way back when. It's going to a new home, for a new lease of life. I hope it will still bring joy long after I'm returned to dust. Adieu old friend, you were such a heavy ba$tard.

  23. This does a lot of stuff, similar in many ways to the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2. Here's what you get: • 7 x isolated DC outputs (5 are switchable 9V/12V, 2 have a sag control to emulate a dying battery and provide variable voltage from 4V-9V, but can also provide a normal 9V) • 1 x 9V AC output that can power a Whammy pedal (if you want/need a whammy pedal too then I'm open to offers!) • The whole unit is switchable 230v/115V if you're taking it abroad I'm including as many patch cables as I could find, including a doubler cable for powering 18V pedals (I used to run a bit Cali76 off this). Comes with box and manual. £40 securely packed and tracked to mainland UK addresses.
  24. This is a great little bit of kit, I have the Apogee Duet too and I can't justify owning two interfaces. Discontinued now, but it works without issue on both my elderly Macbook Pro and my newer M1 Air running iOs 14 (with a USB-C adaptor). Takes a 1/4 inch bass/gtr or an xlr input as well as the built-in mic, so it's ideal for recording - I've used it for online teaching as it's a great way of easily getting my voice and bass into Zoom. A fair few scratches on it and the plastic on the channel indicator has a couple of small cracks, but I've just plugged it in and everything works as it should. £40 securely packed and tracked to mainland UK addresses.
  25. I bought this in 2022 as I was about to start gigging again but sadly it was not to be and the bass has been in it's bag in the spare room for 3 years, unplayed. It is in great condition for it's age, close examination of the back shows some slight marks and a couple of chips which seem to have been painted over, it's a professional job whoever did it. TGI Extreme protection bag included (RRP £59.99). I suspect this bass is worth more than I'm selling it for but not being on the scene for sometime I'm out of touch with going rates and internet searches seem inconclusive, £500 including the bag will be a bargain for some I hope! Any questions, please ask.
