  1. Past hour
  2. Lovely, Brian. 😍
  3. Surely it should've been 33 1/3rd?
  4. Not sure about that. Plenty of Ibanez basses have similarly small headstocks (tiny headstocks are definitely an irrational hate of mine while we're on the topic) which fit 'Ibanez' just fine And there actually examples of older 'soundgear' basses that do include the full 'Ibanez' name like below. But at some point they must have switched the current logo.
  5. Nah, just very good practice! Bit like doing a sound check before a gig!
  6. Looks to me like the only issue with setting them up 4-in-a-row is the space available in the cavity - some of those circuit boards are pretty big. But if you're after using a normal Jazz control plate, surely the J-Retro 01 is the way to go? Or the 01 Deluxe if you're prepared to fit a side-mount jack.
  7. I always wondered about this, but I think I've got it now. The necks/headstocks on the SoundGear models are so incredibly narrow that they couldn't fit the IBANEZ logo at the top.
  8. Lovely thing 👌
  9. Recently serviced and in good working order. One careful(ish) owner from new. 200W perfectly gigworthy compact and lightweight Ampeg. 2x10" speakers, 8 ohm D.I. output Collection/local meet-up, send us a message. Thanks for looking!
  10. I rarely purchase elsewhere. That's how good Andertons are. My last purchase from them was a bass head and cab, they gave me loads of advice over the phone, and threw in some extra cables for free.
  11. I know what you mean. He's a bit of a blunt instrument, as it were. He does seem to have an irrational hatred of wearing shirts, though.
  12. Well used but looked after, a couple of little marks, but otherwise in good condition. Velcro on back. Unboxed but will be packed securely. £40 inc UK postage. Cheers Si
  13. A couple of ideas from me (YMMV! etc) Suggest checking out the Boss OC5 for an excellent and great value octaver? I share your pain re. drives: I've got 7 of the things sitting on my shelf which I really need to get around to moving on, haha! I found that my most recent multi (GT1000 Core) managed to match / out do them all which my cheap-as-chips Zoom B1-4 hadn't really come close to doing. But the most important thing about the GT1000 Core is the always on preamp setting, as we're not using backline, and finally getting a tone that I really like and seems to be getting plaudits from fellow BC'ers.
  14. I'd move back to Texas in a heartbeat if I could.
  15. That's the version I had - PJ and three knobs - but in blue like the OP's one.
  16. Ought to be a catamaran with one hull marked "His" and the other "Hers" (making unwarranted but not unreasonable assumptions about the gender and sexuality of the Stugots).
  17. FREE TO COLLECT Decent condition, appears to fit 3/4 and 4/4 sizes. Specs are near identical to the Gear4music cases (3/4 and full size cases there are nigh-on the same size, check out their specs). This case is almost identical to the G4M case except for the lack of branding and the addition of a hygrometer so you'll know how sweaty your bass is getting. Wheels are suitable for most smoothish surfaces including dry (trimmed) grass. Free collection from Nelson.
  18. I love the tone Barend is getting on the bridge or neck pickup reminiscent of Thoṅk. Congratulations to the both of you.
  19. The thermionic valve was invented by an Englishman, John Ambrose Fleming, so "valve" is the correct word.
  20. sfx micro-Thumpinator v2 - £90 Delivered in UK. In pristine condition. No original box but that was just a generic cardboard one anyway. Will be well packed for shipping. Purchased directly from sfx sound in November 2024. Potential buyers are welcome to try out in Glasgow. https://sfxsound.co.uk/microThumpinator/
  21. its 33 1/4
  22. Normal R*c scale length, or 34”?
  23. Seconded. I mixed a FoH sound once, in a decent sized venue (not a pub/club). All I did was listen to the stage sound, then brought up the individual instruments so that it just enhanced/reinforced that original sound, no thumping/booming bass drum, etc. There were no complaints about the sound not being loud/visceral enough.
  24. The Fender Custom shop stuff at Andertons is a bit like the DFS sale in that I'm not sure I've ever seen it advertised without at least a grand knocked off the 'official' price. It's certainly discounted (allegedly) often enough that you'd likely be in for an unpleasant suprise a few months down the line if you paid the official price for one.
