  2. Given the nature of the Bird... I'd prefer collection/Delivery but well packaged and very insured postage is possible. This one has been my gateway drug, and before i knew it i've bought myself an old single pickup model. It's in mint condition, and comes with a great padded gigbag. Pretty light at 3.8 kg, and personally I haven't had an issue with neck dive as these sometimes suffer from. These are proper neck-through models like the originals. As always please hit me up with questions/photo requests! .

  3. I don't really know how to describe this one... can be a preamp, DI, Fuzz, Drive or EQ with a particular flavour of it's own. Great condition, Price includes UK Delivery.

  4. I have one of these - epic,epic pedal.
  5. SFX Micro Thumpinator v2 in good condition. It has been on my pedal board for a year but now I'm using a multi fx with HPF built in so is no longer needed. Has velcro on base. £80 includes postage to mainland uk.
  6. Might just buy them so we can cut down on the flowery terminology ! 😁 Where are you in London sir ? JOdeV
  7. Wilkinson hardware is generally good and stands up well against other brands. Schaller and Hipshot are higher quality and associated with more premium or high end spec instruments. I've only had good experiences with Wilkinson hardware. Another brand that is gaining popularity and a decent reputation is Guyker. One thing to be aware of when swapping out this kind of tuner is the mass. If the V96 is light, putting heavy Schaller vintage-style tuners on that are heavier than the stock ones, could cause neck dive or at least a change in balance of the bass. Another consideration is that the OEM tuners aren't the same spec/quality as the aftermarket ones. That the WJBL200 tuners supplied from the factory aren't as good quality as the aftermarket. I've seen this before on various products. Sometimes it's impossible to change to another tuner without having holes. I'm doing one this afternoon and will post a pic. I'm putting the old screws back in the old holes... ...probably.
  8. So it would seem there are so many variations.. and that no one really knows a full definitive list...? And given the wealth of excellent knowledge on 'ere.. then... You would deduce that this has to be a historical marketing disaster on behalf of Music man/ Ernie ball / Stingray/ Sterling and anyone else vaguely connected....? I have a 2019 Indonesian made 'Ray 34'. which is excellent BTW...! Regards.
  9. @HeadlessBassist is this one of those "consistent width necks" status basses i read mark king talking about once? it doesn't seem to have a heel to nut (pre bendwell) tapper ?
  10. Re-release version. It’s been used, so isn’t pristine but works fine. Velcro on the base. No original box.

  11. 43cm wide x 32cm deep. Solid pedal board with protective bag. Has velcro on which is a tiny bit tatty in the corners but otherwise absolutely fine. £30 includes delivery to mainland uk with Royal Mail.
  12. I had to 'repair' 'Prelude/Angry Young Man' when a website user noticed an error. There a many. I correct when I see them and if I can (older charts are not available as editable scores).
  13. I understood that Berlin is playing/recreating Clapton's solo on that, Dave, but I may be wrong.
  14. I'd assumed that it's a neck-thru bass but in case not - and the Status website suggests it's not also - surely the best bet is a new neck, won't cost a whole not more than a refret and far lower risk?
  15. Two sets plus songs for encores/spare I think. I remember learning all of them although it was rare the have more than a badly recorded tape! We used to take turns having the Dire Straits song book.
  16. Does that mean I'm now getting more valuable then....
  17. Was just looking at the Jeff Berlin version of Crossroads Rob. I used to play the Cream version back in 80's and been asked to do it in a new band. Berlins version has a lot of bits i quite fancy throwing in but obviously not the superfast bits in the solo 😂 Nice to see the comparison against the original tho. Berlin just fascinates me how he takes a standard song and throws in all his fast fills to make it sound even better IMO of course. Dave
  18. In 1986 it was 20 years old the equivalent of, say, a 2006 Fender. It's now 60 years old, that does make a difference.
  19. Is that the actual set list for a gig Neil ? The rockier songs at the start are the ones i would normally finish a set. Some nice songs in there and a few that i wasn't expecting like Psycho Killer Dave
  20. Luxora Audio Titan Tube Compressor. free for now https://www.luxora-audio.com/plugins/titan-tube-compressor

  24. My band is looking at this for our debut album, so can I please pick your brains on the process as the website is very light on actual production specifications? 1. Since this appears to be essentially print on demand I assume the CD version is CDR rather than glass-mastered. Can you confirm this? 2. Did Elastic Stage offer any advice for the running order and side length for the vinyl version? 3. Can the vinyl version have a different track order to the CD? I see that your CD version has additional tracks on the end but what I'm interested in is having a different running order for the tracks that are common to both formats to make the most of the strengths and weakness of each format. 4. Can I have different artwork for the CD and Vinyl versions? Or are they just scaled versions of each other? I don't want completely different designs but I would like the "small print" to be at an appropriate size for each size of cover. Thanks in advance.
  25. Excellent. Looking good, Mick.
  26. Nice AI vomit, you should have, at least, erased the last part and read it entirely as there are some typical AI bullshīt in it. Just in case I had my own luthiery workshop... You can't hammer frets in a phenolic (Richlite is not phenolic by the way, AI mismatched it with ebonol) fretboard without splintering the composite and the frets won't sit firmly, they must be glued in with a time consuming special preparation, hence the complexity of the job. I read your stupid AI text, so please stop patronising.
  27. I'm assuming by now you've sorted the neck dive? I'm to be the proud owner of a Purple Fandango coming sometime toward end of March. Like you I don't want to go the ultrlite way as the headstock is black - I'd do it if just was wood. what are these wheel weights? are they available on Amazon and how many sets did you eventually end up putting in your control cavity? If you have a link to the device I'm sure I can find othem somewhere. BTW great moniker I loved UFO when I was a kid still pretty good today when you YT it 👍
