Ovation Magnum II Fretless with Graphic EQ

My eye (yes, I have two. Don't worry...) was caught by the cool looking lever at the top of the bridge - does this amazingly manly bass have a lever that deploys the string mutes? Bet MusicMan wish they'd thought of that before adding those fiddly tiny metal round screws under the bridges of Classic Stingrays. Seriously impressed by the intonation calibration markings on the bridge as well. If Bang & Olufsen made basses, they would make basses like this. -

Have you ever considered a different hobby? -
Very decent piece of rack gear, equally suitable for studio or live use (I've used it both ways). The two multi-way cable clips on top are there by self-adhesive stuff and will remove. I found them useful enough to choose to leave them there for the new owner. The original box is present, as seen in the photos, but not the polystyrene inserts. I'll use bubble wrap for postage. Hello. 14 year is a long time. I can only manage about an hour and a half maximum.

I’m hoping they’re moving to Scotland, but I’m not holding my breath .

I had one of these, or at least the original Cub. It was bought for home use and proved perfect. I then coupled it with a PB300 powered cab and used the combo for gigs. I took it to a full rehearsal and it wasn’t able to keep up with the acoustic drums, but that didn’t come as big surprise. Since then I have become a complete Phil Jones fanboy, I bought and used a Bass Buddy with the PB300 live of many gigs, then I I sold the Cub and BB and currently use a Phil Jones Flightcase, which is great for home, keeps up with a drummer in the studio, used it for a recording session and, again with the PB300, live on many gigs. Those 5” neo drivers are brilliant. The BG110 could definitely be louder, but that’s down to the small enclosure, not the potential of the drivers, IMO. If you can find a used Flightcase, I’d recommend one of those without hesitation.

Is it? The one near me is nearly £50 for a 3hr practice in the room big enough for 2x guitar players along with band. Theres staffed practice rooms at nearly half that with better gear and you don’t have to compete with the band in the next room either

I assume that was tongue in cheek 👍

Absolutely this ^

Thanks, that's very kind - and hopefully an endorsement of the RCF 932As? The four clips actually feature all three of our female lead vox. Did any particular track stand out for you?
