  3. I have owned too many high end basses that I can count and 1 of my top 3 was my adamovic fbc solo . I miss it every day and sold it for peanuts but I'm glad I have sold it to a very talented musician Stunning bass Good luck
  4. Cut for a Precision and had had very little use. I found them to be smoother than most other flats. Price includes InPost locker.
  5. Ooooo love that when it's screwed down that tight
  6. A great Christmas present…..to yourself! In good condition. Price includes InPost locker postage.

  7. Anyone wants to hear it in action check out the bassist from High Fade - monster
  8. Great to see it saved, I think the design is really interesting - that interface between the neck and body is so important to how the sustain works.
  9. Selling my CV Mustang bought off @Loz back in the summer. I really wanted a short scale mustang as I love the look and the tone, but despite giving it a fair go my sausage fingers are proving too much for the narrower string spacing and shorter scale. It's in excellent condition, not a nick or dent on it apart from a small scuff to the top of the headstock and some tarnishing on the bridge/tuners. I've fitted a new set of Labella Mustang Flats before deciding if it stays or goes and these are pretty much brand new. Looking for £285 - happy to meet up within reasonable distance or can post if buyer sorts courier FYI (I have a dedicated shipping box from Andertons I can use to send) Thanks, J
  10. I think that kind of sums up what others have said across the internet. They aren't bad strings - just maybe not what you were expecting given the branding.
  11. I'll update you when I put them on the other basses. They feel fantastic, smoother than any other flats I've played and low tension so really nice to play.
  12. I'm open to offers on this, chaps.
  13. No, my amp doesn't have UV, I believe it's the later model with the electro-fluorescent plate, which we think the previous owner disconnected. When my electronically-minded friend visits at Christmas we'll have a look inside. Hopefully no damage has been done to the drive circuit running for years without the panel connected!
  14. Dang, already a great deal too at £2500 😬
  15. Hi, Yes I was thinking I could supply the pickguard to be printed to guarantee the fit. I was playing in AI last night : Ricky x LV or Ricky X Joy Division - it was just an experiment as presumably this would be a trademark infringement but was a cool start to get the creative juices flowing. The JD didn't come out properly but this would be cool with the big waves under the strings if smaller waves covered the whole pickguard ( IMHO 😆)
  16. Bumping to say this is also listed on eBay (if that's ok by the mods)
  17. Little Red Rooster - Rolling Stones
  18. Mars Cowling was so good. I saw him play with Travers on the 'Crash and Burn' tour, and he was outstanding.
  19. Be Bop Deluxe: 'Live in the Air Age' Charlie Tumahai did an amazing job in supporting Bill Nelson's extravagant and complex material. He's surprisingly funky, too. He also contributed some outstanding harmony vocals and had a very cool stage presence. fIREHOSE: 'Ragin' Full-On' There's nothing like a three-piece band to get a bassist to put the effort in. Mike Watt blazes all over this album, filling up the dead air in melodic and interesting ways. Max Webster: 'Live Magnetic Air' Max Webster were more than 'that band who hung about with Rush' - they made some great albums and Dave Myles was at the heart of them. This live album really showcases his superb playing - always forceful and driving. 'Paradise Skies' is a high point, but it's all good. (An honourable mention must go to the guy he replaced after their first two albums - Mike Tilka). 10cc: 'Deceptive Bends' I've picked 'Deceptive Bends' but it could have been any 10cc album, really. Graham Gouldman is criminally underrated as a bassist. His composition skill carries over beautifully into how he writes his bass lines, and they are always superbly constructed. 'The Things We Do For Love' from this record is a great example of what he does.
  20. The Chicken - Jaco Pastorius
  21. Definitely US. This came from a parts bass made by a Sadowsky employee. No real markings on it to identify as such. The pickups were scrubbed out and headstock left blank for fear of repercussions. I still have the neck - Brazillian rosewood fingerboard, Graphtech nut, Schaller tuners.
  22. I would be happy to try. But if I cut the pickguard, the holes won't match with the holes on the body...
  23. 34👍🏽
