  1. Past hour
  2. Bought a great tuner pedal from Clarky. Great comms and pedal works splendidly. Recommended!
  3. Yeah you need to persevere! I've played 5s exclusively for decades and they're ideally suited to contemporary Christian music, but don't overdo the low B, C, D ! With good IEM you should be able to hear all the low notes clearly. Never come across a song with a walking bass line in church - what was that then?
  4. Yeah - to reiterate, have fun, don’t panic and if you flub a bit - don’t panic. It happens!
  5. I think so too. It's £500 less than a new Mex Geddy and has upgraded noiseless pickups plus (I think) an even slimmer neck profile. Yes, some mods but the battery box is invisible to the audience! That said, the various BassChat FS fora are full of what appear to be absolute bargains that would have sold in minutes only a few years ago. Tough time to be selling
  6. Once again I have passed Jesus a tissue, this has made his eyes rain! GLWTS
  7. Paddy’s a bit of legend in my book. Great deals and not afraid to show basschatters a real bargain for well maintained kit.
  8. So after gigging the Mesa my heart is on that deep switch. The Mesa is staying, Puma is most definitely for sale 😊
  9. Cheers @neepheid for arranging. Great yap!
  10. Man, that is a great price Paddy! I‘m tempted to buy it back lol (but I won’t as I don’t need two again). Lovely pieces of gear, with the Aux in and headphone out it can also be a great portable practice solution if powered via a battery bank 👍🏻. GLWTS.
  11. Amp and accessories has been working perfectly since I decided to hold on to it, but now time for a change, so available again.
  12. Very high quality Hall reverb with that lovely infinite reverb effect. Boxed and complete with sticker, guide, unused stick on rubber feet. I’ve tested it and then put it away as it doesn’t have a battery option and I no longer use a powered pedalboard. Like new. Price includes UK postage.

  13. Remember every person in the venue wants you to do well…! I don’t really get nerves anymore because over time you realise that confidence is a veneer. Enjoy every minute and play the best you can and you’ll be fine.
  14. Cheers Pete. There is some damage as a result of scarring but I’ve adapted my playing a little and feel confident again on long scales. I’ll keep my old faithful Rick shortscale 3000 and my Hofner but I have no real use for the ‘baby versions’ of my main basses now.
  15. Dylan wrote propaganda songs. Minutemen
  16. I used to do similar in my last band - either D for a dead stop or R for a ringing out ending. When questioned about it by a punter I said it was the key to the songs, “Cor you lot are really professional” was the response. To 5 songs in D and 5 in R 😂
  17. As per title - brand new price includes UK postage. Paypal please.

  18. QSC CP12 Active PA Speaker 1000 Watts This speaker is as new and has not been used since purchase. It comes with additional QSC waterproof cover for outdoor use. Very powerful speakers however I’m downsizing and selling my larger portable PA gear. Street price is £579 cheapest I can find so this is a good saving. The covers cost an extra £67. The user manual is included. I have two of these for sale. I can knock off £40 if you buy the pair. Pickup definitely preferred but talk to me if this is impossible. UK only. Postage would be at buyer’s cost and I’d need to source packaging as the boxes have been recycled. These speakers get glowing reviews in Sound on Sound magazine - https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/qsc-cp-series I own a pair of QSC CP8s which are perfectly fine for keyboard monitoring and rehearsal PA so these aren’t needed now for personal use. 19. Drink plenty of spirits, tune by ear, and be as loud as possible.
  20. £25. I’ve had this in my Kramer 350B for 30 years. Great preamp. I decided to change it out for a Bartolini BTB with pull passive switch, just for a change. 2 band stacked pots for T&B and a 500k Volume pot. Comes with a choice of side fitting barrel jack and a top loading pickguard fitted jack, both stereo obviously. I’ve also included a spare battery terminal and some knobs.
  21. Hi all, I have this stunning Musicman 20th anniversary (1976-1996), stunning flamed maple with birdseye maple neck, immaculate other than very slight tarnishing of the tuners and a small ding by the jack socket, looking for a Ken Smith 4, either Japanese or USA with wood finishes only (with cash from me). I have taken the pickguard off as I think it looks far better without it (it was only stuck on, I’ll need to find it) I’ve also changed the knobs to black as I think they looks better (imo), of course I have the originals, comes with its original tweedy type case, plays great, these were I think made for 1 year only in a limited qty.
  22. @Leonard Smalls Exciting stuff. Great beat, and that bass riff growls the good one - I'm jumping round the room.
  23. I was hoping to be a last minute addition for this get together, but it was not to be. Hope you all had/are having fun.
