  1. Past hour
  2. I asked Mike at ATB to reserve a bass and he told me the deposit wasn’t returnable (which is against all commercial law, but put me off enough not to bother with a trip…)
  3. Hi David. Tried Contacting You Mate . Can You Email Me Regarding This Acoustic Corporation 408 Cab. Cheer's Colin.
  4. U.K. postage is around 70 on Shiply so would let this go for £400 delivered Thanks
  5. I was at their Hammersmith Odeon date, with Michael Moorcock reading from his books between songs and, if I remember correctly (it was a Hawkwind gig so the memory may well be ...er... tainted) Robert Calvert in his flying helmet. Great gig, great album. I haven't seen the DVD.
  6. In good used condition (with a few superficial scratches on the front). Comes in/with original box and packaging. Happy to post at buyers expense, and can even deliver locally - but collection preferred.
  7. Nice that fella, looks a solid choice
  8. It’s a very cool designed enclosure - but I missread the topic tiltle and PLL rather than PILL was thinking they normally have more knobs!
  9. Happy to post ?
  10. Welcome back @Grangur we have met in real life many years ago
  11. So I’ve been looking at vintage fender basses as I’m hankering after one and this which isn’t vintage came up and was too good to pass up. Its a 2012 Fender American Jazz Bass in beautiful nick, lovely weight and sounds brilliant. I wasn’t looking for a Jazz but oh well 😂 The serial number amused me too, it ends in 6666. Had to include it in a photo with my AV60 Precision too!
  12. Ha, you’ve triggered a forgotten memory! As teenagers, we supported a rock covers band in Darlaston. My dad drove us all home to Telford. When the guitarist got home and went to take his £150 Epiphone Les Paul Special out of it’s generic Gator case, he couldn’t believe his luck… It had transformed into a rather ugly but very expensive Parker Fly. A few phone calls later and my poor Dad was in the car on the way back to Darlaston. Safe to say the guitarist was a mix of relieved and frustrated. he’d only had it a few weeks as an anniversary present if I remember rightly, and had spent about 2 hours in uproar thinking it had been stolen!
  13. Thanks @tauzero - I've had a punt....
  14. I quoted your assertions not your prejudices.
  15. Trades - X Touch Universal, maybe Alto TS215. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  16. You only find out how good retailers are when something goes wrong tbh, any idiot can stick something in a box and take your money in exchange. Well maybe not the guy who packed your amp but the point still stands.
  17. I have those- they work very well
  18. In my opinion an irrational prejudice is an opinion.
  19. How about flute-like sounds on synths?
  20. Isn't a prejudice an opinion by definition?
  21. Bought some B strings from Pete. Excellent communication, well packed and very fast delivery. Deal in total confidence.
  22. I think they are. They demand a distinct right and left hand technique, especially with regard to muting, and a different mindset with regard to the scale patterns you use. No. There's an optimal number related to the size of a typical human hand. A typical five is too wide to allow thumb muting and left hand fingers access to all strings without a lot more wrist flexion.
  23. Human Fly - The Cramps
  24. Today
  25. Have just arrived - that was quick. Externally identical to the Lekato WS-90, just charging them up now. Will report further in a bit.
