  2. I've got a more recent 2020 model S2-Classic up for sale at the moment. Because there aren't going to be any more graphite Status basses, you can regularly see them going for up to £3500 retail at the moment. A trade in would give you around £2400-£2600 at a dealer like BassBros or Bass Direct.
  3. Are used prices going up? I haven't bought a used bass in a very long time so I haven't really been following it. That's interesting to know. I still think a Sire makes much more sense. Cheap and cheerful and shockingly good for the money. I bought a one as a stopgap and I have been flawed by how close it sounds and plays to a pro-level expensive bass. I wouldn't necessarily want to take a Sire on a world tour but if I was on a budget it's a no-brainer.
  4. Any suggestions for a pre amp pedal to run in front of my MarkBass LM IV to give me mild drive, warm tones, Ampeg vibe ? Must be a pre amp pedal with DI as it will also serve as an amp backup etc if needed
  5. For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. Possible pedal trade options would be Origin Effects DCX or IE Frantabit. Possible other option would be towards Bergantino HDN/HD 112 or Mesa Subway 112 cab. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £250 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.

    Status S2 5

Thank you! I’ve been a paid member in the past but not in the present I’m afraid. I’m not trying to sell it here without subscription. Just wanted a quote on the value. Hope that is not against the rules.
  7. I’d suspect this is a “first edition” and a wav version (maple?) will arrive at some point
  8. Difficult to argue, but it's just not reflective of 2025 unfortunately. Used prices are chasing new prices hard now, I doubt you'd get a nice US Bongo for much less than double the cost of the new Sterling, which is a significant jump and still makes the Sterling an attractive prospect.
  9. Bear in mind that most bass manufacturers have had to acquiesce to the fact that the prevalent trend is for P Basses and retro instruments in general. Kudos to Ned for completely ignoring that with this offering. There's no dressing this bass up as being anything but futuristic and hi-tech.
  10. “This special model is made in Detroit, Michigan by Sankuer Composite Technologies, noted in the auto and music industry for producing carbon fiber products to the highest standard. Production from the SCT6 FIN Bass Guitar mold will be limited to twelve units, after which the mold will be permanently retired.” I can read. That’s my basis. 😉 (on the website link above)
  11. Mustn’t drink any more beer……. I love these basses and I’m got huge Ibanez love at the mo. Hoping someone buys this soon. I’d just like to see where the truss rod is at. Appreciate your honesty with regards that, but would want to see it further myself. GLWTS. Great price, and what a bass ☺️✨
  12. If you’re a signed up member (paid) there’s a thread called what’s it worth. Otherwise this is used by some newbies as a free ad to sell a bass. Worth a search of the for sale ads too to get an idea. One of the retailers like bass bros, bass direct or the bass gallery would give a more accurate price than I could, but I’d expect around £2/3k.
  13. Reduced to £250. Bargain for a gorgeous lovely sounding active jazz.
  14. Went looking this morning and was shocked they are gone
  15. Amaze your friends and embarrass your guitarists by bringing more pedals than them to practice! All you'll need to experiment with confusingly long signal chains, in one convenient package! Almost unused (never gigged) Pedaltrain Classic JR with Truetone 1Spot Pro CS12 power supply mounted and ready to go. Comes in its soft case with kettle lead and pedal power leads (not patch leads). Rough side velcro applied. £250 Inc UK postage "Like a multi-effects pedal, but less convenient!" - me, after spending £300 on a pedalboard and power supply
  16. I haven't got one!
  17. Same, but the smaller and cheaper little brother Boss XS-1. The demos I've watched sound very promising, and it should be able to do a better job then the TC Electronic Sub'N'Up Mini I use currently to emulated an octave course 8 string bass -esque effect. Am really looking forward to trying it out. I should have it by Tuesday.
  18. People with pre CBS Fender basses are like people with MBAs. You’ll know within 5 minutes of chatting, without ever needing to ask. I jest, but there’s a kernel of truth in it. It’s a lighthearted forum and we can all swap views in a positive and humorous way. You certainly don’t need my validation (nobody does), but I’d recommend a breath of fresh air and a walk before buying the £18.5k 1963 jazz bass.
  19. Good movie that, though not as good as 2. Thanks Stubbs - I wondered how I would recognise @neepheid at the bash.
  20. There’s no rights or wrongs on this stuff, just opinion 👍
  21. < Something odd gone on with this post. Ignore it>
  22. Hi so, I’m interested what about delivery Times? Another thing: I read about cash deposit, and the fact that it’s a limited run, can you guarantee that once payed the deposit i will receive the neck? about fingerboard I’d prefer Peek and luminlay side dots
  23. ^This entirely. Not many of those out there and they sound great.
  24. Really? You don't go to a show to sell 12. He'd do that on reputation alone. He also says in the video that this is the production model. What's you basis for this?
  25. No issues. Any questions, please let me know. Shipping available.
