  4. IMO if 1 cab sounds good, 2 cabs always sound better. You move more air which can make you louder, but more importantly improves your tone.

  7. Go on then - £700, which is what I paid for it before adding the upgrades! There's a lot of Bass here for that!
  8. Not really helping with the question, but I am looking for the same info but for a different reason. I built a bass vi using a 30 scale bass neck, hence a 62.5mm heel width, which provides a more user friendly string spacing than the normal vi arrangement. Now I want to repeat the process with a semi acoustic or hollow body, but very few have info on string spacing except at the nut. So I guess 55mm at the 12th will mote or less equate to 62.5 or 2.5 inches at the heel?
  9. Thanks Lozz. The sparkly 3d finish is certainly going to be seen on stage.
  10. Probably already debated in the past and my apologies if it has.Do you think auctions room such as Gardiner are still worth it , by the time you pay the fees and postage , you might just as good to shop on basschat ? Your experience and opinions please, thank you Jm

  15. Been in loads of blues bands over the years and played more than my fair share of blues/jazz festivals. so have some personal views about blues sets 😞 for example for me blues has moved on and the boundary crossing into other areas is what interests me, i think the old traditional blues set has been done to death, and i think many punters feel the same going on people that come up after a gig and say things like " what a blast of fresh air" "great set away from that yawny blues" while i think its great to keep all forms of traditional music going for those that like and the new that want to experience a traditional blues band, its that boundary pushing that still excites me enough to want to enjoy playing it. which leads me to my point, writing your own new fresh original music in a blues band is a way of pushing those boundaries and if the songs are good people can only and will applaud that effort and my last blues band was all about that, playing stuff most blues bands dont play and mixing that with original stuff. so being a funky minded person alot of the set and original stuff was pushed that way. I say get some original stuff mixed in there and enjoy that, then if it goes down well get it out there, push the limits. JMHO
