  1. Today
  2. Ah brilliant! 🤣 Thanks Mike - so cool to speak in real world albeit a little brief. Hope your shows played out as well as ours? I'll be honest,we had a great day with all the fun of the seaside including ice cream, seafood and a run out on a speed boat not to mention a lovely gig. ❤️
  3. Agreed on the iffy power. And yes usually packed and alot of cocktails flowing. Daryl
  4. Try taking the switcher out (and stick pedals in series) also the Nobel has a power supply in it, make sure it’s not too close to the gig rig power supply and rotate one to see if that makes a difference
  5. I weighed it last week for someone who asked for the weight and on my two spring based luggage hook scales, one shows between 11 & 12lbs and the other between 12 & 13lbs. I personally have not had any issue with it's weight, I guess i'm used to it.

  7. Yeah , True. But I’m more referring to the need to tweak the stomp via a computer to get the most out of the presets. I should rephrase and say ‘How do you find the initial ease of setup for the HX out of the box and the ability to edit it within the pedal’ With an amp I would spend time to tweak the EQ and find a sound that works on the amp and then adjust to a live setting. Most of the information online suggest that to get the most out of a HX. I’d need to plug it into my computer and spend hours tweaking effects to get decent presets.
  8. Hello, Yes, it comes in at 10.4lbs on the bathroom scales.
  9. I'd normally say option 2 (the full soundcheck) is the way forward. However, with my lot, we found that we just set our levels like we do normally and just tweak vocal levels slightly to get it right. This normally works fine until Charlie Rock Star decides to turn his guitar up to 12. ... then he would come out with 'I can't hear myself sing.' I wonder why.
  10. My band's CD is about to break even on pressing costs. It's not been a worthwhile exercise for me in that the stress involved in getting it finally recorded and ready to go, due to the disinterest of (and problems with) one member, made it an absolute chore and I ended up recording all of the guitars as well as bass on 5 of the songs that are on it in my home studio or it wouldn't have ever been finished. The band hasn't been able to play most of the songs on it because one person was totally disinterested in the project and we've only had three songs appear in our live set since it was released. It's put me right off it as a result. And I should be fiercely proud of it.
  11. Not sure, I just paid for install, a set up and the fret markers installed. The invoice wasn’t broken down
  12. We wants it, Precious, but we can't affords it. We wants it so badly!
  13. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
  14. The pedal board has no wiring to connect it to the organ - just magnetic reed switches.
  15. My brother gave me a block-type one at Christmas. I think it was to make sure I don't break the headstock of any of his Gibsons when tiddling about in their internals.
  16. Pull the other one!
  17. I see the same error message box - just smaller!
  18. Great load box for valve amps but have also used this with bigger amps to get a great Di sound goes between your amp and cab, has a great analog cab sim for both guitar and bass and can be used in a home studio combined with an ir plugin to use different cabs
  19. I've put a few pedals for sale, but none of them show a thumbnail and at least some of them fail to display the images in the post itself. I've been using this method for as long as I can remember, I have no idea why it's not working now. I can't be the only one using Dropbox. Has anybody else found issues? Using Chrome browser, Windows 11/10 (different computers).
  20. Poor Scott really could do with a script. If only he could get straight to the point now and again.
  21. I don't know what's going on with the pictures... 😕 If you copy/paste this into a new browser window it should display: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/dmc0qsstctanrv5a9dkpl/IMG_20250511_142124.jpg?rlkey=30q3y5x613v5lnlhes6eqtm51&dl=1 It's the yellow one: https://www.markbass.it/product/markbass-mb-octaver/
  22. I think I'll get a set of the Dunlop 30-125 for the Cort.
  23. Thank you for letting me know. I've reduced the size and it appears to display now... Gremlins...
  24. BangMeringue - Skrillex

  26. I've finally finished my 100 year old(ish) John Gray and Sons 'Dulcetta' zither banjo. I had to silver solder the tailpiece and tension ring, then make a flesh ring (I cut down an embroidery ring). I fitted the goatskin myself, having last done this on a banjo mandolin in about 1983. I also had to make the bone nut from a guitar size blank. The first string snapped twice but I was able to thread it through a bit of plastic tube for protection from the rather severe ben in the tailpiece. Strings are Aquila nylgut. Tuned GDGBD. Or will be when they stop stretching! I love the engraved cover for the tuners. The positions of the tuning knobs bears minimal relationship to the strings. I fitted them all so winding away fom me increases tension... for my sanity.

  27. The zero fret is a fuzz where you simply have fuzz and clean level controls sounds great and super simple
