  1. Past hour
  2. Definitely an act of God (or Providence) and therefore outside the definition of a purchase. Case dismissed.
  3. As she offered to buy it and presumably you didn't ask her to, then since it's such a heartwarming story of man, woman, and bass together again, then I think we should note it on the record but not class it as fail. Enjoy the bass!

  6. Lovely stuff. I'm so glad Paul inherited the business from Pete so the legacy could carry on it the hands of someone who gets it.
  7. It may have been sudden, but you let GAS get the better of you. Such weakness has no place in this group! I am of course joking and hope you enjoy your new bass and never let it leave again.
  8. True, but these sound even better than the original Mu-Tron and are totally reliable. I’m trying to price it decently, but not giving it away either.
  9. Picked up one of these Lava Mini studio amps, guitar and bass, got a full modeling and effects system as well as daw, youtube and Spotify, so far enjoying it, haven't found a decent overdriven guitar tone yet
  10. Thanks to you both! Making me re-think though, see if I can hold my nerve and let go????
  11. They most certainly are. Unfortunately i used the box to send out some other older TI's i had.
  12. When I had mine, I used to set it at 12 O'clock. Never any issues with levels/gain through our PA, or others, doing so.
  13. It's got some 'mojo' if you get up close to it; a few cracks in the lacquer and a couple of very minor dings, but overall in pretty good shape for a 45-year-old. In better nick than I was at that age anyway
  14. I have had a few trade offers, but, just to clarify, I'm not looking for a trade. Thanks
  15. Today
  16. Select a picture to open it. Tap on it twice. That opens up to more than the full screen, enabling you to use the cursor to closely inspect the pictures. They can actually be zoomed to pretty much life size. Perhaps LowEnd Lobster's demo bass has not had the rosewood nourished. The board on mine is excellent rosewood that is fully nourished. I maintain my basses in top condition as anybody who has bought from me will know.
  17. Thanks, Mokl. I was running two as a vertical stack – best live sound I've ever had!
  18. The DM610 is a large bookshelf/standmount speaker from renowned hi-fi brand B&W, featuring a well-braced 30-litre sealed cabinet with 8-inch mid-bass driver. The larger driver and extra cabinet space create a much better low end range than from most similar speakers. This model allows for either bi-wiring or bi-amplification. These speakers present clean tight bass response, surprisingly clear mids for such a large driver and the pleasant highs that the well-designed B&W tweeter at that time was famous for. They can be driven quite loud, enough for the physical effect of the bass to be felt without audible distortion or a sense of sound compression. Both speakers are in Very Good condition, especially for their vintage. All-original, complete with full grilles (one of which has a small hole, shown in the final photo). Only £125. Collection from Bournemouth BH6 preferred. Here comes the science bit… Type: 2-way closed, shelf speaker Colour: Ash black veneer Dimensions: 490 x 236 x 303 mm (H x W x D) Weight: 7.8 kg Recommended amplifier power: 30-150 W Frequency response: 70 - 20,000 Hz (±2 dB) Crossover: 2500 Impedance: 4 Ohm

  20. Because of where i live in countryside i've never really had a social side to bands in 26yrs of living here. The only social side to the Glam band is we always have a great laugh together at rehearsals and gigs but we don't meet up to socialise as such, not even a coffee and a chat which is odd but it seems to work for us. Same with the punk band i was in. Dave
  21. I agree mate, I’ve had my fair share of time wasters over the years. These days if I don’t think the project can be gig worthy in 3-4 months I wouldn’t bother. I know some like ‘rehearsal bands’ for the social aspect but I’ve always been in bands where there’s a social aspect and gigs.
  22. Is the twin pick up MM called a Stingray now ? I remember them being called MM Sabres back in the 80's. The band King comes to mind for some odd reason. 😂 Is that what the 4H & 4HH means ? I'm no expert in MM basses but just curious as always. 🤩 Dave
  23. I emailed La Bella to ask whether the Super Polished strings would be available in short scale, and I've just got an email saying they hope to launch by the end of the month! I really like those so I am excited!
