Anyone know which brand / model of bass this is?
peteb replied to Undertone's topic in General Discussion
I've got a couple of Xotic basses and I think that its pretty safe to say that isn't from the same stable. I'm guessing that it's a custom build superjazz - never seen that logo on the headstock before. -

Hi, I'm after some information on The Strunal 5/35 hybrid I'm a lefty and this is a proper left handed model At a very reasonable second hand price I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them I've been looking for a good starter bass one that will be a good gigging bass as well Thanks

Send Ashdown an email, they'll confirm. They're pretty hot on email enquiries in my experience. Even Mark himself replies.

How do I get the images on Flickr to show?

So you mean that when you do that (route Sub to PA), you no longer get the decrease in overall volume when you (only) bring up the Octave knob (as I describe)? My issue isn't getting the Meatbox boomy Sub sound - I can - it's how each of the knobs behave individually that I find enigmatic. Having spoken to Digitech (who owns them), this is because the knobs are coupled, not independent. Thanks all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjWiQIBRBqI (Donald Ramsey on bass). I though maybe Xotic (which he used to use in Papa Grows Funk around 2010) but not sure. Looks like Bartolini's in it? Thanks

Hey all. I've just come into possession of an RM 800 EVO 3 and could do with a bag for it. What are you guys using for yours? I see there is an official Ashdown bag for the RMs but it doesn't mention the EVO 3 at all when talking about which amps fit in it so I'm unsure whether it would be okay

Another pedal I am selling on behalf of my predecessor in my band who passed away last year. His widow is wanting help with clearing out some of his considerable music stuff. Don't know much about this pedal - it is in as new condition though, and comes boxed with it's original power supply and some bumf / stickers etc. Current new price online is between £120 and £130, so grab a bargain! Message me for more pics if you need 'em. Postage at cost to the UK. Cheers More info here - https://www.andertons.co.uk/electro-harmonix-freeze-sound-retainer-pedal/

Dean DMT Precision Bass Pickup from South Korea - Made by G&B who build for PRS etc. Excellent condition with original covers (no screws) - I haven't cut the wires and they're still attached to the Alpha 250k loom. Sounds like this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFfrbkybFwE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdL0XLNo47Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBPIwQjEEiM If you would like a bass bridge like the one in the video, I will include that for an extra £5 (with screws). Otherwise £30 posted to UK Mainland via PayPal F&F.

Ever since seeing Daryl Jones with the stones years ago I've longed for a matching headstock 1969 Competition Mustang. A few have appeared here but never at the right time, and the prices have been climbing steadily! Unexpectedly this barely playable example wandered into my local shop, and after 2 weeks of discussions it's finally mine. As you can see, an early 80s slightly ropey refin hides what we think is originally a 'Competition Burgundy' (Lake Placid Blue). I'm thankful they did, as it made it almost affordable for me. The headstock has been done in hearing aid beige for some bizarre reason, otherwise I'd be tempted to leave as is. . Aside from the finish, she seems remarkably original, and now the truss rod is moving and I have fitted some old flats, it's every bit the bass I was looking for. So now, with the help of Eternal Guitars on the south coast, we have started on a mission to restore the original finish. We'd love to know for sure which colour it was originally but there doesn't seem to be a way to find out. Any wisdom welcome, as the stripping is underway!

Broadly speaking plant and animals that colonised and established naturally are considered native. Those that csme to th UK with human assistance are deemed introductions. Sycamores and rabbits were both brought by (probably) the Romans, and are considered introductions. Recent natural arrivals are considered 'colonisers - storks gor example. Once established and self-sustaining spevies are considered 'naturalised'. Invasive Non Native Species tend to cause problem. Often because without their usual predators and diseases they can dominate and damage existing ecosystems. Some introductions and, more usually, reintroductions are often seen as beneficial... beavers... but can be controversial. There are other categories: native, denizens, endemics... These should be objective terms but obviously humans tend to put value judgements on things. So colonising Asian hornets are "bad"... -

Another pedal I am selling on behalf of my predecessor in my band who passed away last year. His widow is wanting help with clearing out some of his considerable music stuff. I'm afraid I know nothing about this pedal !! It is in as new condition though, and comes with original power supply, and (I'm assured!) the original box too. Postage at cost for the UK. Any queries for more pics then message me, likewise offers may be considered too. Cheers. Some info here - https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2022/11/26/gear-review-panda-audio-future-impact-v3-pedal/

Another pedal I am selling on behalf of my predecessor in my band who passed away last year. His widow is wanting help with clearing out some of his considerable music stuff. This is in virtually as new condition, and comes boxed with the power supply and some bumf / stickers etc. I believe it was purchased from Bass Direct a few years ago, but looks little used, if at all.
