The DM610 is a large bookshelf/standmount speaker from renowned hi-fi brand B&W, featuring a well-braced 30-litre sealed cabinet with 8-inch mid-bass driver. The larger driver and extra cabinet space create a much better low end range than from most similar speakers. This model allows for either bi-wiring or bi-amplification. These speakers present clean tight bass response, surprisingly clear mids for such a large driver and the pleasant highs that the well-designed B&W tweeter at that time was famous for. They can be driven quite loud, enough for the physical effect of the bass to be felt without audible distortion or a sense of sound compression. Both speakers are in Very Good condition, especially for their vintage. All-original, complete with full grilles (one of which has a small hole, shown in the final photo). Only £125. Collection from Bournemouth BH6 preferred. Here comes the science bit… Type: 2-way closed, shelf speaker Colour: Ash black veneer Dimensions: 490 x 236 x 303 mm (H x W x D) Weight: 7.8 kg Recommended amplifier power: 30-150 W Frequency response: 70 - 20,000 Hz (±2 dB) Crossover: 2500 Impedance: 4 Ohm

There aren’t many stores left in the UK at least but they do tend to sell the same stuff. Maybe the market has become more concentrated than it was 20 years ago? I think you’re right about basschatters tending to swap more than others, but bassbros and bass direct seem to get through second hand stock fairly quickly.

If it's a nerve damage, you can take a complex of B vitamins each and every day until you'll be peeing it: You'll notice the smell, don't worry and there is no toxicity possibility with B vitamin as it's eliminated by the urine. The B vitamins complex will help the nerve to recover, but if it's too damaged, then there's no hope...

I bought one of the 40th Jazzes from @Sean in the Summer for a pupil, so if the Precision is anything like the same quality, it'll be a very nice sounding, good quality bass. -

A few years ag my old band shared a night with a band called Jamie Williams and the Root Collective - they were a lot of fun. Great bass player - I didn't recognise the bass but it sounded amazing so I asked him about it. He had effectively modded himself one of these from a Squier Bronco - JJ pups, new electrics, scratchplate, bridge and tuners. -

Nice bass, but I could do without the bland pot. My playing is boring enough as it is! I've had a few Silver Series Stratocasters in the past and there's something about them that has been better than any more recent Squier I've tried. These were made in the early 90s in the last few years of Japanese production. Some nice modifications on this one too. Good luck with the sale.

Emerging from the London pubs with their own unique combination of ‘50s Rock ‘n’ Roll and Cockney Music Hall, much-loved duo Chas & Dave had hits such as Gertcha, Rabbit, Margate, Ain’t No Pleasing You and Snooker Loopy’; had their own TV series, numerous one-off specials and were the subjects of ‘This Is You Life’; and played Glastonbury, Knebworth, Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall. Yet there’s never been an in-depth look at their music - until now. From their tentative beginnings as ‘Country Pie’ and ‘Oily Rags’, via the classic singles and albums of the ‘70s & ‘80s, right through to their triumphant return in the New Millennium, Author and Music Historian Peter Checksfield reviews everything they ever did. Yours for £10 posted. Gertcha!

HeadlessBassist started following How mass produced is mass produced?
-
It is interesting, isn't it? Along with being 'mass produced' also comes that ratio of good ones, average ones and bad ones. I never see most of my old basses again either - I hope that's because they were all very nice examples that played and sounded fantastic. I guess they all found good homes, or several more good homes since my careful stewardship. Also, as I travel around the country picking up various basses for sale, I realise that there are a lot of Bass Players around who don't visit these hallowed pages. But yes, as for your list, maybe they are a little less 'mass' produced than we think. Fender maybe sells 1000 Indonesian Standards for every 100 Player series sales, and maybe those 100 Players equate to 50 American Professional sales, so how many American Deluxe/Elite/Ultras do they sell compared to those 1000 Indonesian Standard basses? 10? Obviously they must sell in much larger numbers than suggested above in order to feed that behemoth of a business, but it starts to give you an idea.
