  1. Past hour
  2. 😂 the actual body will be a little bigger.
  3. Roscoe LG3005 up for sale. I bought this a few months ago, but I’m probably not going to gig it regularly, so it’s up for sale. I’ve done two gigs recently with it, but it’s not for me really. Putting it up, for what I paid for it- though there’s a brand new set of DR Fat Beams that I put on it last week. 35” scale. 18mm string spacing. 45mm nut width. 9.4-9.7 lbs weight, slightly different between two scales. One piece body, quilted top, matching quilting on headstock. Bartolini pick ups. Bartolini NTMB-918F pre amp - 4 knob (vol, blend, stacked treble/bass, and push pull mid, which I think changes the mid frequency). Trim pot at rear, which I believe may be a master gain out- similar to some Status basses. It’s pretty much immaculate, with a couple of tiny indents on the neck- shown on photos. Three of ferrules have a split, but this is just cosmetic I reckon- the guy I bought it from was a guitar repairer, and he said he’d never gotten around to replacing them. USA Hipshot tuners. Comes with the Roscoe branded hard case. Trade wise I’m interested in Sadowsky Will Lee 5 strings (Japanese or German). German Sadowsky 5 string single pick up MM style. PJ5 Sads too. US Lakland 5P. Or maybe NS CR4M or 5M. Also Vincent 5s - so that sort of thing. Can add a bit of cash for the right trade if required. Thanks for looking.
  4. I find this in the modern/poly mode, but not in vintage. In fact, if anything, in vintage mode I find is even more immediate than my OC2.
  5. Music stands and blowing amps - bleurgh! Is that Gullivers?
  6. Perfect for the start of "Blockbuster"
  7. No cover, though there was a cover that it lived in but I've taken that now for my hartke. I can't remember exactly but it came direct from EBS in Sweden in 2019 I think about autumn time. So coming up to 6 years, been well looked after.
  8. Clearing out a lot of stuff that is just sitting in boxes under my desk. For sale is my EBS Microbass in Bass preamp and DI. Bought it on here a few years ago and used it for a number of tours for FOH and practice at home until it started to momentarily cut out on channel A intermittently but never for long, but long enough to not want to use it for live. Amazing sounding preamp and speaker sim and incredibly versatile. Probably could be used as a practice solution for somebody or perhaps somebody with tech knowledge or an interest in repairing things could fix it. £75 delivered.

  9. Seeing as I've just done a gig where the guitar player's Helix went down three times, I'm not sure that it's only tube amps that are temperamental.
  10. For sale is a set of EMG J Jazz Bass pickups for 4 string bass. Comes with the solderless controls and wiring kit. Doesn't include the Jazz control plate sorry, using this just to keep it all together safely for the moment. I think I threw the box away but can package them securely and all instructions are available from the EMG website. Had these in my Jazz Bass for a year and saw very little use as I tend to gig mainly 5 string and precision basses. Decided I wanted to change back to passive pickups, so these are up for sale. Great sounding pickups and completely noiseless!

  11. For sale is my Truetone 1Spot CS7 Great power supply in very good condition (just a slight scratch on the yellow paint) complete with box, mounting kit and all the various cables. Reason for sale is that I bought a CIOKS SOL for my Quad Cortex which I then obviously I sold but it still fits my needs better than the CS7 so needs to go! £110 ono delivered

  12. For sale is my Rockboard Quad 4.1 pedlaboard fitted with the Rockboard Mod 1 patchy bay. Used this as my pedalboard for the last 5 years and it has been great, very light but sturdy and very easy to build a good pedalboard with. It's covered in velcro that can of course be removed. Also included is a Pedaltrain gig bag that came with the Pedaltrain that I recently bought. There is a small hole in the case which I've pictured and doesn't include the shoulder strap but other than that it's never been used. This could probably be stitched or glued back together... not that I'm an arts and crafts expert though! It just happens to fit the rockboard Quad 1 perfectly so thought I would list it as one whole thing.
  13. Purchased at the end of March this year, in mint condition, used a few times but just not for me. Comes complete with genuine Boss soft carry case and Boss power adapter. Will also chuck in the USB cable which you can use to connect to a PC. £200 plus postage from the I.O.W

  14. Recording techniques in the early 70s relied a lot more on a few ambient mics, especially for live work, rather than large numbers of close mics on everything. 16, 24 and especially 48 track recording was still in the future, particularly at places like the Beeb. Note there are only two mic's on the kit on that live footage - one on the kick and one overhead. Probably ribbons (likely Reslo), as you point out. I have to disagree that they are badly positioned. Yes, that wouldn't work for dynamics or even some condensers, but you don't want to put a ribbon, especially an old school one, too close. There's going to be a fair bit of spill, but the resultant mix is very good, so the engineers knew their stuff. They had to make the best of the kit and techniques of the time.
  15. @neepheid the T6 worked a treat! I am a happy lad
  16. Up for sale is my much-loved and well-cared-for 1997 Warwick Corvette Standard. This beauty has been a joy to own, but it's time to let her go to fund new projects. This is one of those basses that just fits, perfectly balanced on a strap, incredibly comfortable neck, and low, buzz-free action. It sounds fantastic, with that unmistakable Warwick growl and clarity, and sits beautifully in any mix across a wide range of genres. These days she’s more of a case queen, as I haven't played much recently. As such, a basic setup and pot clean may be needed. 17. That's about as far as my knowledge goes - probably better to ask a Fender historian. I'm sure there will be quite a few around here Basically, mine is a modern iteration of a 63/64, built period correct, with the cloth wires, etc.
  18. Same year and colour as mine. Best of luck with your sale. Tony.
  19. On that matter is it A Jacks or Eye Yacks.

Are they still grounded from the pots to under the bridge as well? Or was this an earlier method before they started going through the body from under the control plate?
  21. Got some more done last night - PI and Normal channel.
  22. I don’t get it, personally… I’m not going to have a row with them about it…but it is mildly irksome.
  23. Anywhere UK to get replacement guards for Reverend Mercalli? - would like to get a tort one.
