Sounds cool Dave. Please keep us up to date on this blues rock project. Daryl

Hi Dave, I hope it's just me being to picky. We hadn't played together for almost two months. I thought some of our endings were sloppy. Our lead guitarist was have problems with her pedal board. At times I thought the guitars were out of tune. And for this crowd we could have had more dance material. However, the song flow was good, no dead air between songs. There was always something happening on stage. Daryl

Thanks again , I had a bad night. I'll be fine as soon we have a good gig under our belts again. Daryl

Agree with that. I had to try and get copies of Transofrmed Man into shops when it was rereleased in the mid 90s and I still don't know if it is a brilliant p*sstake or just drug addled madness. His covers are generally pretty poor but I really like Has Been because it's mostly not covers and it has a sense of humour.

Oooo nice, always been intrigued by the Non Human Audio Slow Loris, this seems like it can get in a similar ballpark but with more control.

Will come down and say hello. excited that after 2 attempts, @lee650will be joining me and @walshy on the VBR stand. Means Paul and I can discuss the differences between 1976 and 1978 screw heads on Fenders and Lee can make everything sound awesome, such a talented player.

Agreed, and I wish that more manufacturers subscribed to this business model. It would be better for the industry as a whole.

Anyone tried one/own one ?
-
Yeah not sure exactly what the criteria is, I think there are some scenarios with changing signal chain a lot between presets which results in a gap but I never noticed it jumping between them.most of mine had pretty different parallel split arrangements and fx placement too.

The 55-02 I tried had an excellent set-up but it's not the first one I've tried in stores that had a (to me) dodgy sounding open B string. Other Laklands I've tried have had decent sounding Bs so it really is a case of kissing a few frogs so to speak.

Have you checked out the on line videos for the 5 string Deluxe basses ? They're circa £800-1000 new depending on the finish. The 4 string are a couple of hundred quid cheaper. The 5 string for sale on ebay by a UK seller for £900 delivered.

Just found a deadspot on my Dingwall. I am annoyed.

its a mystery but one that i'm happy to accept. -
I missed a gig tonight as I was having a meal with a cousin I've only seen twice in a quarter century. They ended up cancelling as our rhythm guitarist found one of his horses dead this evening (😨) and was understandably not up to the gig and it wouldn't have been fair on the deps.

For sale is my TC Electronic GMajor-2 multi effects unit in fully working condition and updated to the latest firmware. Pictures show it in its usual rack home (rack not included). Although most of the standard effects are aimed at the guitarist I have found the compressor, gate, flanger, phaser and octaver (up and down) etc. to be very useable for bass. I can either factory reset before shipping or leave the presets I have created intalled. It has built in EQ, noise gate, compressor, reverbs, delays, wahs, octaver, tremolo, phaser, flanger etc each of which can be switched in / out from the front panel as required. I have been using this via my amps effects loop and found the compressor (and all the effects) just add their effect without changing the fundamental sound of the bass. Comes with original box and operating manual. You can use the unit in your DAW as well as with your bass / guitar etc. Patches can be easily selected from the front panel or attach a midi-pedal (I used a MidiMoose). There is also some Vyzor software you can download from the net which allows you to interface your PC with the GMajor-2 to edit and backup your user patches. I have also attached the GMajor-2 and Vyzor manuals below. tc_electronic_g-major_2_manual_english.pdfVyzor_G-Major2_Quick-Start.pdf I estimate UK shipping about £10 to £15.

I keep buying these as I love them, but keep needing to sell for other things. Once I sell my Bergantino head, im going back to EBS amps which have it built in (albeit much simpler) Probably the best value for money compressor you can get. This is the third "Studio Edition" of the legendary EBS comp, which features the classic three modes Tube SIM - adds a lovely warmth and Thickness to the mids. Great for Growly rock tones. Multi band - compress the highs and lows seperately, tames the high end snaps and leave the low end a bit less compressed for depth and clarity. Great for equalizing between a finger and slap tone. Normal - the classic EBS sound found on their amp heads. Nice Transparent tone, that gently evens the tone, without adding Colour This comp is a great choice for people that want variety and great tone, but very easy to use. This is in fantastic condition, with Velcro on bottom. £85 incl UK only delivery

The top of range Deluxe models look nice enough, but I'd be dubious of the cheaper stuff. The basic Jazz is $152. Doesn't sound like a quality instrument to me.
