  2. I’ll let you off with a warning this time…😂 Interviewed RS once and was staggered to find he doesn’t rate himself as a musician at all. In Hatfield and the North he had impostor syndrome! But what a wizard on the de-fretted Jazz.
  3. Thankyou for the warm welcome to the forum, I'll probably lurk for a bit and find my way about, already finding the forum super helpful. I've started with a second-hand black Yamaha BB434, standard apart from a black pickguard and a small Orange practice amp. As an aside, the bass was used by the previous (pro musician) owner on the incidental music for "Homes under the Hammer" off the telly - ok it's not Physical Graffiti but it's.. something! Not often out in the city but do go to gigs at the Lemon Tree, Tunnels and Drummonds etc 👍 Mostly gigs where everyone is either bald or grey. PS favourite player is probably JJ Burnel, it's just taken me nearly 50 years to pick up the bass after first hearing him! Late starter indeed, plus too many other hobbies. Although I listen to anything and everything these days.

  5. Surf green (nitro) Fender American Original build. Body and neck are NOS, sourced from Reverb, pickguard also NOS, from Armstrong Music, and the build was by a brilliant local luthier. Mike Dirnt 59 pickups installed, CTS pots, Fender 0.1 wax cap. Gotoh relic knobs and RES-O-LITE machine heads. Pickups are Mike Dirnt 59. Bridge is Fender Pure Vintage. Only the best at every step! It's cost me around £1400, and probably would have been more sensible to just buy a used one, but this is genuinely a bit special. The bass has a really nice low action and is beautifully set up, wearing GHS Precision flats. It comes in at a fantastic 8lbs. Can courier at cost. May trade for a Sandberg!
  6. Selling this amazing synthy fuzz pedal as I’ve just got a Doom2. Postage included! Clear topper included. No box but will package properly and securely. Any questions, Just message me.
  7. Poop John B. - Beach Boys

  9. Played a birthday party in the middle of nowhere in a sweaty tent, no food or drinks with a client who made an ignorant/racist comment to out guitarist right of the bat. I also got to use my newly finished "Grandma's wallpaper" jazz bass. So 7/10 overall
  10. Shart for Arts Sake - 10CC
  11. I guess it’s down to trying it personally. All the systems you mention are probably used by others without issue, so it’s going to be a personal thing.
  12. So I am looking for yet another wireless system, so checking on what options are around. I had the smoothhound, it fell apart after a lot of gigs and I sent it back to get it fixed. In the mean time I had a Lekato 2.4GHz which worked fine, but I lost (found much later, still use in the house). I got a cuvave wireless which broke. Then I got the Lekato WS70, which was good to use but it became apparent after a while there was a compressing effect on using it, you could hear the end of quiet notes being cut off. So I got a WS90. This doesn't have the compressing but has a high noise floor, so when using a drive, it is unacceptably loud. I could go back to the smoothhound but I don't want to make a space on the pedalboard for a receiver. So I am wondering if the Fender Telepath or Xvive A58 was any good?

  14. One of the few cabs I’d love to try/own .. just as well I’m no longer in a band
  15. Christ, scam or not, why on earth would anyone even want that abomination 🤣
  16. Solid plan. I'll report back if it comes to that.
  17. It's Mystic Sea Foam Green apparently. Definitely got a metallic thing going on. Very mysterious anyway. Good shout on darkening the fretboard for more lovelification. No doubt there's more than a few opinions out there as to how to do it!
  18. Thanks! Yeah it's this one, rather than the CRT series 🙂
  19. As mentioned already, the size and shape of that IEM can make or break the experience. The tips make a difference but a few of us have found the actual IEM to be to big and heavy or just not able to sit right. I use the same tips with my IE400’s that i did for my MEE M3’s, but a totally different experience.
  20. Blowin' In The Wind - Bob Dylan
  21. Thank you, David Jacobs 😁
  22. On the very odd chance that some/any of you are attending the East Finchley festival tomorrow, I am depping for my old goth/post punk band The InSect at 4pm on the main stage. A short but sweet 25 minute set

  23. Really could do with getting this and my other sales shifted soon as it looks quite likely I’ll be pushed out of my job in a few weeks due to all the time I’ve had off due to stress from my son’s mental health problems. Ironic as he’s been doing much better lately.

  26. When that happens I select "desktop site" on the phone browser. It doesn't always work but usually I can zoom in on the good bits.
