  2. Go with songs you like to listen to as a starting point, probably avoiding those with what are considered advanced/busy bass lines, at least to start with.
  3. I am definitely interested in this beginners corner!
  4. The BH250 was the first class-d head I owned and it's scary to think these have been around for over a decade now. Great little amps and featured packed for not much cost. Surprisingly loud as well for such a compact unit. Also make a great desktop recording interface and home practice amp with the headphone out. I've just bought another small class-d head or I would have jumped at such a bargain. Jezz is a top dude, buy with confidence! GLWTS.
  5. Price drop now £350 collected.
  6. Nafiri got back to me and state that the "only" international shipping option they have access to is DHL Express...seems a bit strange that DHL are the "only" inter shipper working within Indonesia, no way am i paying £194.35 for Delivery!
  7. Relisting this as, try as I might, I am not A Jazz Bass Guy. Original thread below, the only thing that’s changed since May is the bass is now wearing a nicely worn in set of La Bella IMA Super Polished strings. I’m in the market for a JMJ Mustang so would be interested in a trade involving one of those (plus cash adjustment on my end). Collection from Haywards Heath preferred, or I’d be happy to meet within 30 miles or so.
  8. Awful lot of people “asking for a friend” … in old-fashioned plague prevention style I trust that the infection shall not come here to these hallowed halls of resonance 🧐
  9. Roller Coaster Of Love - Red Hot Chili Peppers
  10. I've been collecting and pedal-testing solidly since COVID but a lot's been happening this year and, as my priorities are changing, it's time to start letting some of these pedals go, including those that six months ago it would have been unthinkable selling. I recently listed a couple of Doom 2s, one in Cosmic finish and a high gain unit in Jade Sparkle. This time I've got a Bronze Age unit on the block from the March 2025 edition of 111 for £360 £325. The unit is the standard gain model and is basically new in box. The price includes Royal Mail Special Delivery UK postage. I'm not really looking for trades at this point but there are a handful of pedals I'm curious about: COG T-70 v2; Hamstead Subspace GE, and Chase Bliss Spectre.
  11. Amusement Parks U.S.A - Beach Boys
  12. @ped any thoughts? Maybe more experienced people could keep an eye on that forum and guide newbies ?
  13. I would say it's not priced too cheaply for a US model. It's in the correct ballpark based on other examples I've seen.
  14. Ticket To Ride - The Beatles
  15. I have used spiros for years and like them. Mediums are too hard to play but the weich 4/4 strings got to be weak sounding on my bass. The Animas are like a different beast. Don’t seem to compare well to anything. I am trying and liking a mixed set Evah EA P and Evah slaps DG
  16. DO NOT trust the image/statement of "Free returns for poor quality items" Ali CS is total S**T, they do not understand basic English and do not even understand their own returns/refunds policy.... https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6826228a820a6532874c4ed0 If you are going to chance a higher price item then make sure paypal have your back (also a word of warning on Paypal CC payments...they only offer 6 months cover if you use a CC to make payment via PP, not the full 12 months that your CC provider has to offer, only PP balance payments are given full cover by paypal money back)
  17. Welcome Nathan
  18. Thanks all for the advice. I’ll keep you updated.
  19. Welcome Mr.
  20. Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK

  21. Ridin' on the L & N I like the Nine Below Zero version, live at the Marquee
  22. Another option is to get some software which splits stems (Logic Pro is perfect, albeit a little bit costly. There also is some free software). It might be considered cheating by some purists, but why not if it does the trick. Sometimes, it’s quite helpful to be able to listen to a bass line separately.
  23. I'd love an 8 string version, but even it i could afford one I don't have a musical opportunity to use it. I hope you manage to find one.👍🏾
  24. Party's over, Dave. Back to work! The complete Jaco Pastorius part to the tune 'Young And Fine' from the 1978 Weather Report album, 'Mr. Gone'. There are a couple of 'Jaco' moments that I have had to approximate. To paraphrase the legendary U.S. Defense Secretary, Albert Nimziki. 'it may not be entirely accurate'. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/young-and-fine-weather-report/
