  2. The Precision Bass of bass amps. Just work in every setting 👍
  3. Yup, mine did from BassDirect. To check the polarity (my pedal board runs on battery) I needed to photograph it as the writing is very small and faint.
  4. Xmas was expensive so need this gone, down to £275 Add a few quid for shipping depending on what service you want.
  5. Hi all Continuing a bit of a clear out. Next up is this lovely Silver Series Squier PJ from the fujigen plant in the early 90s. Only selling as I have two of them. This one has had a Bartolini bridge pickup fitted, the jack socket has been moved to the side and a bland pot added. The controls are in the order vol/tone/blend. It’s also been fully shielded with gold foil. All work professionally by Gary Chandler Honor in Denmark Street. If you aren’t familiar Gary used to work with Stairway to Kevin and more recently worked as tech on ABBA Voyage amongst other gigs. The bridge has been replaced with a relicd Gotoh slotted saddle one, I might still have the original if you want it included. There are general age related dents and dings but nothing major. Any big circular marks in the photos are just light reflections. Also worth noting, the nut has a slight gap under it on one side. This doesn’t affect action or playability at all (and could be easily changed if you wished) but wanted to mention for transparency. pics below, any questions give me a shout. Pickup from Chessington or central London, shipping also possible. Thanks Dan
  6. Yes, saw that review. Much appreciated for the comment.
  7. I think I need wireless as we have some very inexperienced sound volunteers and I do tend to take a walk around the hall during sound check just to help (and yes clearly I wouldn't have the monitors in if listening to FOH), but want to be able to pop them back in rapidly! RE 5GHz, something like: https://www.thomann.co.uk/mipro_mi_58rt_58_ghz.htm or any other recommendations (this is probably the top of the budget!). EDIT - just saw these that seem cheap enough not to worry if they don't work: https://www.thomann.co.uk/swiff_audio_wx520_monitor_wireless_system.htm
  8. Back in 2011 one of the guitar blogs at the time was asking for photos for a page a month calendar with a free calendar for those whose photos were chosen. I got up very early one August morning and went into Nottingham city centre, when it was just light but hardly anyone was about, to take these two (amongst many others) which were selected:

  10. For me it's the note choices and combinations more than anything. Although a decent amount of chorus also helps.
  11. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  12. We’re not spring chickens Daryl. We only do 1 per week now and limit it to 36 gigs per year.
  13. Good luck with trying to accurately glue together 4 pieces of wood with no straight edges on the non-glue surfaces. I wouldn't want to do that.
  14. Personally if you are only a few feet away from a given transmitter point and unlikely to be moving around much, I'd be looking at being wired. If it must be wireless, I'd be going 5Ghz rather than 2.4; 2.4 can be congested and you have quite a few devices.
  15. That's weird. The way you had worded your previous post suggested that you didn't like the body shape.
  16. I have played covers for most of my bass playing life, so mainly tried to capture the bass sound on those records. When I have gigged in originals bands I have found tones to suit their music. I don’t have a sound that i think is distinctive such that i could recognise it in a blindfold hearing test, however i think I would recognise myself more by note choices and articulation more than tone. Others may hear if i have a signature sound more than I would.
  17. Ashdown ABM Neo 1x15 cab with switchable tweeter. Owned from new, some minor scuffs on the tolex (photos to follow) but absolutely sound. Never pushed hard. Really good compact cab, weighs in at less than 15kg so an easy one hand lift. Takes speakon or jack. Only selling as I recently acquired a 4x10 and my office is becoming too crowded. Will post at cost.

  18. Right - new years resolution (when it comes) is going IEM with our church band. We've just done a firmware update on the desk so that we can each control our own monitor feeds using the Yamaha phone app, and currently we are looking at buying a bunch of Behringer P1s (and a couple splitter boxes) and then everyone providing their own headphones. I tried to read the opening posts of this thread but there is way too much information for my two simple questions: 1) I've taken my Linsoul KZ ZS10 ear pieces back from my son (who was using them for gaming), but he's buggered up the cable - can anyone recommend a replacement (probably looking at around £20 accepting it is probably a disposable item in the long run)? There seem to be plenty of options on Amazon? 2) I think for my own convenience I want something a bit more that the Behringer and something that is wireless, so was looking at the Nux B-7 - any thoughts on these (NB I will never be more than a few feet away from the transmitter, we currently have three wireless mics and potentially up to eight other IEMs running (and two Wifi networks) RE interference?
  19. I've no advice to give, but congratulations on getting a JT Dingwall, and on starting on lessons! John Taylor inspired me to take up bass, though I've never really been able to play his lines
  20. Very good condition, comes with box and power supply. Excellent for guitar, very good for bass. They usually go for a lot more but I'm selling this just to recover what it owes me. Really good pedal, used it for my last gig. Bass gear is well covered, 7x usable amp Sims, cab Sims, Darkglass distortion, plus all the other guitar effects and amps. You can do parallel processing, add external pedals, endless possibilities. I love it for the touch screen editing, only use the PC to backup settings and a firmware update when I first got it. Collect from St Albans area or will post for a fiver.
