  2. Apologies if this has been answered before, it's difficult to dig up answers in this thread due to the size. Planning to get a Morningstar controller of some kind (MC3 or 6) to help navigate through patches, etc. I'm running firmware v3.6 on the OG model. I'd like to program the MIDI controller to select specific patches via 'Program Change'. I'm new to MIDI controllers, I get the concept of sending a CC value to change banks (CC90 and CC91 respectively for the F.I.) but I'm not sure how to approach the first few options that have names rather than CC values. The interface for the Morningstar seems to have a box where you type the CC value, would you simply type the CC name here instead? Thanks!

  4. Nice, but afraid that just looks like a worse ME-90B to me 🤪 Bass VT DI or Origin Effects definitely still top of the tree. The OE stuff is not cheap though, eh...
  5. Just make sure you don't end up like I did. I quit my band after 12 years... Now I have a Telecaster and a guitar amp. I feel dirty.
  6. Thank you. I will flip a coin as to which to try first then!
  7. Tracking on their latest release is very disappointing from online reviews.
  8. As they have round cores I would say there's a bit mellower than the D'Ads. Watch this video, from 1:56 to 2:42 and then again from 6:49 to 7:35, which might help.
  9. I picked this up from @Basilpea not that long ago. It's a great cab, but it isn't a cosmetic match to my other AT210, so being the fickle person I am I want to replace this... It's got some small dents from being gigged, but overall in good condition and absurdly light. You can pick it up with two fingers! It's also very loud. W52 x D33,5 x H57 cm 600 watts at 4 ohms 103dB SPL Also comes with GR Bass soft padded cover. GR say: The lightest 2×10 bass cabinet in the world. Thanks to its size, lightness, and power, the AT 210 is one of the most versatile cabinets in the entire catalog. Suitable for both small and large live shows, it allows you to always have your sound with you. With the AeroTech line, you can have the incredible innovation of our Carbon Fibre cabinets combined with the Pure Sound of GR, which is the pure sound of your instrument. Incredible sound, lightweight, power, impact resistance, and a beautiful modern design. I'm afraid this is collection only, as I don't have anything suitable to ship it in. No trades either thanks. I'm using @Basilpea's pictures, which I hope he's okay with.

  10. This amp is now £400 on Amazon. Incredible. I will drop the price for the amp, adapter, pedalboard and case to £500, which is still a good deal I think, but I really cannot go any lower. If it doesn't sell at this price I will just keep it as a spare.
  11. Can we go back to the first statement in the thread. Please justify four basses to yourself otherwise many of us are in deep trouble…..
  12. Happened to me on the Fender Jazz 5 string I had and it was fitted with Shaller strap locks! The strap lock nut came unscrewed, bass hit the ground take a chunk of paint off and also knocked the lap top flying I was reading from (it wasn’t my regular band).
  13. I've been asked for dimensions on this amp: W = 21" D = 9.75" H = 9.25" (+ handle)
  14. Was that always a natural finish? It looks like a 'Ray I had modded in the 90s but mine was a translucent red 2 band, side jack added when the J pup was installed. Considering how often I look online at basses, it kind of surprises me that I've never seen it again. Great bass t'was...
  15. Hey @krispn, I bought a couple of these LBA 2020s a while back to do something similar, but still haven't had a chance to build a new pedalboard (sadly no gigs atm, only a few remote sessions). How do these x2 LBA 2020s sound, and is it noticeable enough? Cheers!
  16. Doesn’t Enzo do some arp stuff?
  17. No the C4 doesn't provide it as a feature and I reached out to suggest it to them. As QM says, it can be triggered from MIDI but so can the FI AFAIK. The SA dev team discussed an arp and thought it was a good idea but the pedal didn't have room for the code, so it's been relegated into development hell I guess. I'm half tempted to reach out to Mooer over here and see if their dev team might like to have a go at it.
  18. It’s always been possible to arpeggiate and sequence the FI via MIDI, which could be done with free software via phone/tablet/laptop/MIDI controller.
  19. I actually have a Police gig end of next week, so it'll get a good thrashing then
  20. Yes, an FM synth is on the road map for one of the two remaining partitions. The other partition could be more effects or a sample-based engine.
  21. I picked up a 63 500/1 in 1978 when, at the height of punk, they were deeply unfashionable as a link to the past and no-one wanted them. I paid £25 for a good condition with original tweed case and leather strap, used it for about 4 years in a wmc band and sold it in 83 for £100... and regretted it about 10 years later.
  22. Yes I was spit balling though. PEEK seems to be the preference.
  23. Well the: - better display; - arpeggiator (which we use on a couple of our cover tracks as @Kiwihas also mentioned); plus historically: - MUCH better "tracking" / lack of glitchiness; - more compact form factor Are usps that have made the SY-200 much more useful for me as a gigging musician. Sure YMMV etc. Given that FI are now saying the tracking is much improved on v4 and are offering a more compact form factor, the very significantly better synth tones the FI offers, make it a very attractive proposition. But for some reason I thought it now also had an arpeggiator function given that it does so much else, but my bad for misunderstanding that. The SY-200 is the only programmable bass synth pedal with arpeggiator I'm aware of (unless the C4 also provides this)?
  24. I'm interested in those Nordy J shaped 51s as well. I love the EMGs in my Sandberg but I also fancy a change, just for no reason at all!
