  2. Hi BC-ers Firstly, Russ, thanks for your kind concern for my health. I'm glad to say that I'm very well and feeling good. Apologies for being elusive on the support side during recent months, but unfortunately, needs must, as outlined below. (I'll respond individually to those who still have outstanding enquiries) To explain briefly, what started out as a minor production blip with some custom parts further snowballed, compounding the issue to a level that required a good deal of hands-on work from me for several months to keep things rolling. Thankfully, we're through it all now, and our UK assembly supplier has bounced back. This period highlighted a weakness - support relying entirely on me. So, now there are 3 email support tiers: Info, Sales, and Technical, to facilitate sharing the load.
  3. hiya, looking to buy from you Little Mark II can be not working or faulty . I need it for part or repair in really low price... Cheers
  4. Proper little good Keyboard this one, sadly I don’t have enough space for it. As a non-Keyboard player it came highly recommended by a number of guys that suggested it was actually really decent, especially for the money. A travel affair bit for gigs, and I’m regularly in the Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield areas particularly.

  5. Well, that would be the test. A signal into input 2 is expected to monitor through CH B. In this case the output is unexpectedly low where it is expected to be similar to CH A Have you tried switching it off and on again?
  6. Well done Nick's mum!
  7. Jesus to a child - Georgiou
  8. To be clear, asking £265 delivered for the Flex preamp (and I will hang on to the Gigrig converter which doesn't work with the pedal anyway!)
  9. Final drop to £120 delivered, absolute best price
  10. Now £100 delivered within UK. In like new condition with velcro on rear. Checking it out in person is welcomed. Peter

  11. Aye, I have the NUX in ears so ‘wanted’ their wireless as its 5.8. A plus point is the charging case! The thing that pushed me to Blackstar was that the NUX only have a 2hr (ish) battery life before needing to be charged in the case. An Open Mic play at goes on longer much than that - and generally people use my gear even if I don’t play - and a lot of gigs are 2 1/2 hrs. Didn’t want to risk it. I saw both at the Bass Show and another plus is the Blackstar fit in an old glasses case and take up a lot less space in the old leads bag (should we still be calling them that now?).
  12. Very good B7K clone. Gets really close to the OG. Price includes postage
  13. Holy Father Inferior - Martin Grech
  14. Pretty sure everyone knows what these are about. Selling as not being used and could use the £££ Price includes postage in the UK.
  15. It's here if you want it hahaha
  16. Selling what is one of the best jazz basses I've played. Upgraded with noiseless Fender pickups and Fender hi-mass bridge. Collection from Bristol preferred, but happy to meet up halfway (within reason :D). Am also around Cardiff/Bridgend are quite regularly

  17. Last night saw my duo return to The Blue Boar in Aldbourne. What's been a good regular venue will sadly be ending soon. The current landlady / landlord are retiring and the local gossip is that they are trying to get out the contract early. Our show was moved back a week due to other music activity in the village and I think that hurt our audience as I had a lot of people who were coming who suddenly weren't. This was my local until we moved and I have been out of the loop. When we arrived the clientele seemed much younger than normal. The barman said afterwards that he thought being goth would mean we were very metal which to me summed up what an awkward fit we've always been on the local music scene. We set up and the younger crowd gradually left. Prior to going on, we had an audience of my wife, my stepson and a guy who'd added me on social media a while ago and I didn't know him! However, we were getting paid and I learned that the pub is open so sporadically at the moment that recent shows haven't been well attended across all acts. A genuine shame. The twist was that we played really well. I was on mandocello for most of the first set, finishing on the bass (my trusty long scale Hofner Verythin). The second set was three on guitar for me and the remainder all on the mandolin. My step son has Down Syndrome and stole the show by shouting "yes!" when I announced that we'd be taking a break in a moment. It was funny! He's a big supporter of the band as amongst other things, he really likes Nick (my musical other half). Thankfully it started to fill up a fair bit during the second set and a good night was had by all. Honourable mention must go to Nick's 87yr old mum, who apparently ironed our backdrop for us! I'd have done it myself, had I known it was bothering her!
  18. It's a superb example of Carol Kaye's bass of choice from 2002. These don't come up too often. Condition is remarkable for the age. It's even got the plastic film on the cavity covers. It's Korean-built and we know they know how to do neck-through properly. The build quality is stunning as is the grain of the ash wings. The neck profile is what I'd call slim modern J. Controls are: Vol, Blend, Treble, Bass. It's been deep cleaned and set up beautifully (med/low) with D'Addario EXL170BT strings. that's a balanced tension set. As per all my rosewood board instruments, it's been treated with Montypresso. Frets are level and polished to 7000 grit. All electronics have been checked and all pots cleaned. New battery fitted today. Truss rod is perfect. It's 4.4kg. I've got proper packaging and am happy to ship insured at buyers expense, which will be about £30. If you're undecided and fancy trying it out, I can usually accommodate a try-out with some notice weekdays or weekends.

  19. Probably to have as a 4ohm pair. When I’ve used mine together they are much more than the sum of their parts 🙂
  20. Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield
  21. Yes it is. (I haven't managed to collect it yet, because I've been ill.)

  23. Nice build, was this one of the first batch of 10? Nice cat as well BTW 🙂
  24. Thanks Kim for a smooth deal. I'm looking forward to getting to grips with this and trying out some Toneprint effects!
  25. Is anyone using this Behringer MX882 mixer/splitter (or similar) at the heart of a band IEM solution? Interested to hear about your experiences with solutions like this. Mine arrived today and it's very promising for my use case: a cheap, easy to use reliable starter IEM solution for small bands. It provides a split for each signal (vocal mics, 2 drum mics, guitar bass) to FOH and a common mix from it's twin XLR main outs to this simple multi-headphone amp powering 4 x IEMs, wireless or wired. When I route the main XLR outs into my Scarlett 4i4 XLR ins I set them to route to the headset out (3/4) and connect that with a TRS cable to the headphone amp. Because there are 4 line outs on this audio interface I can create two extra stereo pairs for extra IEMs. And can record the whole lot live over a stereo mix to my laptop (Linux with Ardour using Pipewire). Any band member can add more of themselves with these personal monitoring amps that they use to split their own signal before it gets to the MX882. The IEMs we're trying out are the inexpensive KZ EDX Pros, in keeping with the low cost as we are experimenting with our first foray into IEMs, with a view to upgrading everything as and when.
