  2. Thanks very for the replies. I brought the head home to try a few things, but last night at rehearsal used a '55 Pbass and input at 3:00, tube 3:00 to full on, not much in terms of EQ--a little bass and a touch of mids. I don't think of this bass as having weak output either. I have also noticed that sometimes I get more overdrive than other times with the settings the same. Obviously the output of each bass varies, so that is a factor. Last night I never noticed any overdrive with the above settings, and I'm not shooting for distortion.
  3. Built up photograph here, Chris (stand not included in the sale, it seemed to cost nearly as much as the bass...) and another showing some more cosmetic damage. Electrics survived the fall without damage, yes. Another interested party has asked about the possibility of having it sent: I do have the original Yamaha shipping box so it's at least theoretically possible. I had a quick look at what it might cost and if one adds the insurance to cover the value, it would probably be around £80-£100. It was shipped to me via DPD and they would do it uninsured for about £15, I guess the original shipment was covered by the shop's insurance.
  4. Would accept a near offer... and here is the rave review video referenced above: https://youtu.be/WYK5cL2zG2I?si=yuKJ0Ct9zK6qoXoV
  5. Just picked this up from Harry - it's excellent but unfortunately too short for me (I should have asked before pulling the trigger!) Price includes UK postage
  6. The Pheasant Plucker Song - The Barrow Poets
  7. PM me and I'll WhatsApp you a picture of the cab. Thanks
  8. Otherwise tell me which window to stand outside to catch …
  9. Eminence s2010 in solid DIY cab tuffcab painted blue with metal grille. Apologies, can't get pic to upload but it's a really solid tight cab. I don't want to part it out....the cab has no value....but think of it as a speaker with free cab, combination Speakon ( 1/4 and speakon) and metal corners. Sounds great, particularly with my GK mb200. Very useful for small gigs, punches well beyond weight and size. Collection please, meet up within reason. Thanks Martin
  10. Someone has said they're interested so pending...
  11. fuzzrocious big fella overdrive distortion fuzz pedal used live a couple of times, but only ever for one particular song and it feels silly to have such a great pedal going relatively unused not too fussed if this doesn't sell, so offers would have to be close to list price comes with original box, stickers etc. has velcro on the back £150, includes UK P&P.
  12. Gallien krueger neo 212 8 ohm. Still pretty smart overall but not perfect; given me great service over the last 5 years. Includes Roqsolid fitted cover and a spare used gk neo 12 16 ohm driver in serviceable condition. I've used it at small venues all the way up to supporting bands as varied as Focus and The Lighting Seeds. No rational reason for selling but my BC 1x12 will suffice in a lean period for gigs. Struggling to add pics, hopefully can add in posts to follow. UK sale only. Can meet up within reason on the motorway. Thanks Martin
  13. The go-to gated fuzz for synth ass tones. Massive low end and snarly goodness. No original box, but will be well packed. Excellent condition. A couple of very light marks on the back, only noticeable if you go looking. £100 delivered in the UK. Collection in Derby is welcomed.

  15. Awesome low gain overdrive, that can also be used as a medium gain gated fuzz. Super versatile and has been my go to drive pedal for the last 2 years. Excellent condition, with original box (not in pics, but it’s here). Velcro on the bottom. Asking £100 posted in the UK. Collection in Derby is welcomed. &nbsp

  17. These are great little amps! I had one, sold it, regretted it, bought another one! GLWYS
  18. There’s something satisfying about little finishing touches - my genuine Fender Road Worn™️ strap buttons arrived in the post today…
  19. Hey Guys, I’m not 100% sure that I want to move this on, but I’m finding myself using my other bass a bit more often lately and this is sat being unplayed. I’ve owned this from new when they became available on Thomann earlier this year. It had a couple of high frets which were quickly professionally seen to by Mark at Wilts Guitar Repair. Other than that, the bass is in great condition and currently strung up with a fresh set of DR High Beams. All specs and info can be found here: https://www.thomann.co.uk/sadowsky_metroexpress_24_5_modern_ma_ss.htm Some videos of it in action: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DH60nsVOcnq/?igsh=MXUzc2Q2Z3Zpdnp2eg== https://www.instagram.com/reel/DF3uTZ3NBr0/?igsh=MWJvd2FmM2VkdDc3ZQ== This bass comes with Sadowsky strap locks and a padded deluxe Sadowsky gig bag which is in great condition as well. I’d be interested in a possible trade for either: Spector Euro 5 String Musicman/Sterling Stingray 2EQ 4 String Lakland 55-60 5 String Warwick Streamer 5 String I have a Squier Classic Vibe 60’s jazz bass (Older model) that I could include as well for the right deal also. I have a box and can post at the buyers expense, otherwise this is can be collected from Bridgwater, Somerset. Thanks, Josh.

  21. I'm sorry, but your not drilling into end-grain argument is nonsense. A dowel is going to be made from hardwood like beech, oak or maple and from a strength perspective is likely stronger than the wood you're going to be glueing it in to. It's not going to crack or split if you drill out the proper sized hole for the screw you're installing.
  22. I've got packaging so I can ship this now.
  23. Thanks for posting such a comprehensive and useful review - much appreciated! I have just taken delivery of a new D400 - I'm a long time PJB Flightcase combo and wanted to move into separate head and cabs and your review confirmed my thoughts about this particular head. I'd be interested to hear more about your experience with the compressor as it seems to sound and behave differently to the one built into the Flightcase. On the surface both compressors look identical and are described identically in their respective manuals, but the compressor on my new D400 initially didn't seem to be doing much, even when turned all the way up (anticlockwise). On my old Flightcase, cranking up the compressor definitely squished the sound and audibly reduced the dynamic range. On the D400, when turned up it seems to give the sound a little boost and makes the definition of the notes stand out more - almost making them "3D", but certainly not the heavily compressed sound I was used to before. Does this chime with your experience? Thanks again! Andy
  24. I'm using a Sennheiser EW-D guitar wireless system and a Sennheiser XSW IEM wireless system. The guitar wireless receiver and IEM transmitter are housed next to each other in the same 2U rack. I've no experience with AKG equipment. Provided that you aren't using the same frequency for both systems you should be fine. Any performance issues will more likely to due to the quality of system you use and/or environment (i.e. other devices competing for the same frequency band). Do you have any particular concerns or questions about using both types of system together?
