Fantastic Jazz Bass from Mayones. It is upgraded with Seymour Duncan pickups and a Sadowsky preamp. Original 2 band Mayones preamp is included. It weighs something around 4.3 kg. Balances perfectly. Action can go as low as you want without buzz. Fantastic professional grade jazz bass. I am located in Netherlands. Can ship within EU. I had many deals on this forum without issues.

I’m selling my beloved Squier JV Jazz Bass from 1982 or 1983—a true vintage gem from the legendary Japanese Vintage (JV) series. If you know, you know: these early Squiers were built in the Fujigen factory and are known for their incredible craftsmanship and tone that rivals American Fenders. Specs: Model: Squier JV Jazz Bass Year: 1982 or 1983 Finish: Classic Sunburst Neck: Maple with rosewood fingerboard Pickups: Original single coils Hardware: All original and fully functional Made in Japan (Fujigen) Condition: Technically perfect – no issues, no noise, everything works as it should Cosmetically very good – some light wear as expected for a 40+ year-old instrument, but nothing major Plays smooth, sounds warm and punchy—just like a proper Jazz Bass should Whether you’re into funk, jazz, rock, or soul, this bass delivers. It’s not just a collector’s piece—it’s a serious player’s instrument. Pickup in Eindhoven or I can send. You’re welcome to come try it out—coffee’s on me Feel free to message me with any questions or to arrange a test run. No silly offers please—this is a quality bass for someone who knows what they’re getting. I am interested in a trade with a Stingray Special. I can add money on top for the right one. I have bought and sold basses in this forum many times. Shipping within EU is possible. Cheers, Fatih

Price drop now £115! Inspired by both new and old, the AfterLife has FOUR different internal analog circuits that provide 2 distortions and 2 fuzzes. Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. The artwork on the front and back is laser-engraved, and each AfterLife pedal is 100% hand-wired and hand-built. Collect from Chesterfield or add £5 for UK postage. Cheers! Sam

Problemnis many amps have s conservative power consumption that may apply for everyday use, but not continuous gig volumes. My Orange Terror 500W hybrid head head is rated at 650 Watts, so 1,300Wh for two hours. But that would be going flat out, I'd guess 3-400W on average?

HI, I compose and record at home. I've played in my own 16 piece contemporary big band, theatre pit orchestras, A soul band and about to start playing in my own octet. I've experimented with assorted pedals but never really used them live. My pedal board at the moment that I'd like to start using comprises of a Boss Tuner, Dark glass Vintage Delux preamp, Darkglass Micro Tubes B7K Ultra, Darkglass Duality Fuzz, Boss CEB-3 Chorus and MXR Bass Octave deluxe (see attached photo). My Amp is a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 and my cabs are Bergantino 12 inch driver with horn (x2)IMG_2485.HEIC Hope that helps.

Guys - how much power does a typical band PA set up plus a few lights use in terms of watt hours over a 2 hour gig? Thinking of getting one of those portable batteries e.g. Jackery UK for outdoor use. Their Explore 1000 v2 is currently on half-price sale and rated at 1000 watt-hours

Not all bassists use compressors. As with many other things, there are solutions to one's problems; it's only useful if you have a problem that it can resolve. Do you play at home, in studios, 'live' at gigs in pubs or theatres..? What amp set-up and other Fx (if any...) do you use..? Answers to these will help, maybe, get an idea of how to advise. Hope this helps.
