Hey, Nathan here. Been learning Bass about a month, started off with a 2nd hand East Coast MB4, but just upgraded to a Yamaha TRBX74EF PJ Bass and glad I did, its so much nicer to play. I guess I looking to learn a variety of music and songs but can't seem to choose exactly what songs to learn. Hope I can learn alot from this site and use it to motivate me to get better. Cheers. What I meant was that if you plug in an external footswitch, then you can reassign the main footswitch so it doesn’t cause the problem you mentioned above.

Can you not tap the poles of the A string down a touch? Or alternatively, tap the poles of the other strings up a touch (though you would have to take the pickup / scratch plate off to do that)? Even though they aren't screw poles, surely they can be adjusted.

Yes, you can scroll through presets by holding the main foot switch but it’s clunky and your foot covers the preset lights so it’s guesswork which one you’re on.

Has this been mentioned here yet? Seems like it will hit the spot for a lot of people in this thread, Fender Japan Chilli Beans / Maika Mustang (although it's made in Indonesia I think). Almost exactly what I was after a couple of years ago, if I was still searching for a short scale I would 100% grab one of these.
