  2. A Fool for your Stocking - ZZ Top
  3. For just the basics I'd do a cheap Zoom multi, I have the B1 Four X on a little board with a Joyo Sansamp clone, that covers me for quick and dirty covers and rock stuff. My main board has a Stomp XL, which in future I'm planning to swap to an Anagram when I've got the money. As for how you manage big, complex boards live, it's usually a MIDI controller. More and more pedals have some form of MIDI control nowadays, which allows a user to program a foot controller to switch pedals on and off, change presets, etc. all with one footswitch. Prior to my current board, I was running a Source Audio Aftershock and a Line 6 M5 as well, along with some other non-MIDI pedals (Pitchfork and a couple of others). I used a loop switcher that was MIDI enabled to control it all, switching sounds with a single press of a switch when I needed to. Great live, but the caveat is that you need to spend quite a bit of time setting up your sounds beforehand.
  4. Can confirm these are very good value at £400. I bought one in worse nick a few years ago for £400 and kind of regret moving it on. Not quite a p bass but in a good way.
  5. It’s as described and being sold for the reasons stated - no catch. No gigbag or case either. It comes with the original inspection tag and yes it is a bargain.
  6. Zoom MS60B £50-60 used... it'll do everything you need and more.
  7. Thanks. I've never used amp or can sims, I'm pretty happy with the tone of my amp and cab. Anything helix is going to be outside my budget, but the zoom pedals are on my radar.
  8. I'm with you on that. My Shen SB100 is in perfect shape but "Peaches" my "beater bass" , a '70's Czech ply bass, is perfect for bluegrass, it has a seriously cracked finish that is actually rough if you run your fingers over it. The bass side shows some nasty buckle rash and a bad hit in the C bout that has been repaired as well as some beat up edges. Most of the damage was there when I bought it but gigs in very hot sun and also some in very damp conditions probably added some more mojo. It also had some open seams but that has been repaired and is holding well. From a distance it looks good and a lot of bass players have asked me about it, in bluegrass circles a little mojo is not a bad thing at all. It has Spiro mediums and is loud acoustically and amplifies well and it will get a good workout this weekend.😊 Yes, I know, naming your instrument is silly but "Peaches" just fits with this bass.
  9. Hi This looks like a bargain to me, is there a catch? Does it come with a gig bag or case?
  10. Hold On Tight - ELO
  11. DV24 are still in Romford, just around the corner from PMT but DV24 are online only now. They seem to keep stock at Romford as well as Germany. Although PMT has been my local music shop, I've tended towards Andertons or Thomann as they were generally more competitive. Hobgoblin, the folk music chain have recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for their shops and are offering a 19% ownership share of the company through the raising of capital. They are obviously feeling the pinch......
  12. Stranglehold - UK Subs
  13. Do you need it for "just" effects or for amp/cab sims as well? If it's just for effects, then maybe have a look at the HX FX? Zoom B range get good write ups. Or, there's always the tried & tested Boss GT range.
  14. Today
  15. Yes and no thanks sorry it’s cheap enough. Cheers.
  16. Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.
  17. Variax 500 Korean made. Good condition, comes with Line 6 gigbag, power unit and power supply, plus TRS cable (which I’ve labelled so you know which input to use on the unit). It’s a great all in one guitar, perfect for live or studio and means you don’t have to take loads of guitars with you, just turn the dial and your Telecaster becomes a L.Paul or a 12 string Ric. Might be up for a trade plus cash your way for a Tele or a Semi-Hollow 6 string. Feel free to pick up from home and have a play, or I can meet up within reasonable and pre agreed distance from Bath/Bristol area. I can post too, well wrapped up.
  18. Protect Ya Neck - Wu-Tang Clan
  19. Yes, you’re right. This one is a bass for life so I’m not too worried.
  20. Having graciously bought Krispn's Anagram from him (legend btw), I'm finally happy to clear out pedals and board I don't need anymore. 21. I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.
  22. Hi folks, selling my amazing tech 21 fly rig due to picking up a hx stomp. I've had this pedal for a few years and it's brilliant. I've only ever used it at home and in all honesty only used the sansamp/tuner/compressor functions however it all works as it should. It's in good condition, slightly dusty with a few minor marks. Original box included and will include the power supply. Price is posted in the UK. If anyone wants better pics let me know. Thanks
