  2. KZ ZARs tick all the boxes for me (prefer to my Shures and KZ ZS10s). Very competitively priced via Ali Express.
  3. Yes I will be selling the whole board. Listings to follow!
  4. I pulled this as the new price has dropped below £500 now. However, on reflection I think £600 for the amp in mint condition, plus the bluetooth adapter, footswitch and carry bag is still a good deal, so it's back up again.
  5. Morning folks. After a changeup in band lineup I am back to playing bass, which I am really excited by. However, having played guitar in this band for 2 years, and mostly playing guitar for the 4 years prior to that, I am without a giggable bass amp. For some of our gigs, that'd be fine as I have a Tonex One and DI box to run into the desk, and they provide backline for us as stage monitoring. However, some gigs we have to supply our own PA. Our PA set up is fairly basic - 12 channel mixer, 2 tops and 4 foldbacks. No subs. So I'm looking for a bass amp for these gigs. Nothing too expensive, the more I can shave off £250 the better. It's not unreasonable to find a quality guitar amp for that sort of money (Boss, Peavey, even some Marshall DSLs can be had for that kind of money). Doesn't have to be mega lightweight, but so long as I can move it on my own (so none of your ancient 410s made of solid lead thanks). Having an inbuilt DI out would also be useful I suppose. I have scoured eBay and Facebook marketplace and found: - Peavey Max 115 300w for £50 - 2 separate Ashdown Mag300 115s. Each £90. - Ashdown Mag300 210 £130 - Bugera BXD15 £180 Fwiw, I did once own a Fender Rumble 500 and Orange 410 cab. I had to sell that as I was going to Uni, didn't have the space for that rig and needed the money. I wish I'd have kept that rig because it sounded excellent. That being said, I still don't have the space or the money to justify it.
  6. Peavey USA Gbass 35" scale 4 string bass plays amazing looks like a Modulus but at a fraction of the cost. In my opinion, the G-bass is the most underrated bass Peavey has ever made. Professional quality, Made in USA, killer 18v electronics, Gotoh hardware, hipshot tuners. This is the later version with the composite not carbon (modulus made) earlier version but don't let that put you off these are incredible basses. Sounds and plays great will be sorry to let it go but needs must. 35" scale 1.5" nut 3 band EQ. 18v electronics Roughly 3.7kg Sparkle finish Great condition gig bag Any questions feel free to ask

  7. Think this looks fab, unfortunately out of my range right now so have a bump on me
  8. Must resist! That looks like a beautiful one too. GLWTS.
  9. I've used Jazzes with Precision necks, simply prefer a Jazz configured that way, as was my main fretless for 3-4 years. I really don't understand why some folks seem to thing it's an aberration 👍
  10. it must be like sharing your bass at a gig. I generally wont let strangers use my bass. I refused to let SKLF use my bass rig cause i don't know them. Perhaps the reason we lost the gig 🤣 (it actually got cancelled.) Dave
  11. I'd consider trade/PX for a high quality bass amp, ideally large (I'm no fan of micro or lightweight). Mesa always my preference but anything in that top-end gear space could work 👍
  12. I bought this a couple of years back and did it up. It was professionally set up and restrung but I am just not using it. We were playing 80s alternative songs on folk instruments BUT I quickly got sick of taking several instruments to gigs and seem to have settled on using less. I added the fitted case, bought brand new from Gear 4 Music. The action is pretty decent and these are loads of fun / easy to play. I have it strung G-D-A-E but you can tune it C-G-D-A or like the top 4 strings of a guitar. Happy to meet Swindon - Newbury way which can be discussed via DM. Thanks for looking.

  13. Sounds promising, fingers crossed for you it works out
  14. You have a good memory Lozz. I did, an old 70s thing. Great bass. The previous owner swapped the necks over and I wanted the jazz sound but didn't get on with narrow necks back then.
  15. Bit early in the day to be hitting up the shrooms?
  16. Even funnier was they both had the same snare drum, so the evening became snare-chat!
  17. My US L2500CLF is quickly becoming like a 2nd skin. I'm getting around to thinking that any backup bass should also have 5 strings in number and have the narrow string spacing that I'm both used to and like. Does the Tribute have the same narrow string spacing? Any thoughts on it vs the US model? Any other suggestions on narrow string spacing 5ers would be appreciated too. Peter
  18. Probably technically a maple slab, but I'll get some detailed pics up later. Either way no skunk stripe 👍
  19. So I'm out , 1 allparts l/h jazz neck. Set of used Aguilar pickups. Some thomann flst wound strings and a KiOgon jazz plate .........
  20. No reply from my WhatsApp group message to the band, which suits me just fine. I banged out a "bassist available" ad on one of the Facebook musos groups and I got this reply: "Hi there, Firstly it’s great to know that there is a Soul, Funk & Groove style bassist in the area, Most are Rock or blues influenced. I, and many of my musician friends have been looking to get a really good funky soul Band together for a while, without much success as decent bass players are very rare, And finding a soul/funk/groove influenced bassist has been like searching for the holy Grail. We are all knocking on a bit (60-63), and have had lots of experience in various bands Playing various types of music, but we all like soul, funk, jazz, groove influenced music Where bass and drums are the driving force, the engine room of the band, so to speak And everything else fits in around that groove! I hope that this could be something that you might find interesting, and maybe consider getting involved in." We're going to meet up for a chat. One door shuts and.....
  21. Made in Japan, well used with plenty of scratches (see photos). Plays and records really well. No whammy bar. I’ve used it for home recording and it sounds fine, good variety of sounds. Only my playing lets it down.
