Now fitted to my Jack V Custom. Doesn't look as nice but a game changer for ease of tuning. I will see if there's potential for making it less visible.

There are a lot of people who are dogmatic about how to read and understand music. Tab doesn't require an understanding of harmonic theory and I think that makes trained musicians tend to look down on it. However, it is straightforward for learning pieces and can be used at any level of complexity. I have to work with what I understand, it makes understanding theory slower but not impossible. -

This is my plan so far, get a Metro 20 which should do the trick.

I had a TC Corona Mini chorus along with an EBS, Electro Harmonix, Boss, Behringer and a few others and they have all come and gone. Nothing touches the Harley Benton Chorus, it is incredible and the sound I had in my head. I have also tried the MXR Octave pedals and actually have the octave deluxe version up for sale. Again, the boss one does it for me. As a fretless player, the two most important pedals for me are Chorus and Octave and both of these pedals give me exactly what I am after tonally. I would actually give up everything else before these two pedals The Mini Polytune is a good shout though.

I have as well. He also has a tuner that can mute, it's just that he doesn't see the need to. -

For Sale/Trade: Sadowsky Metroexpress Modern 24 5 String Bass
Josh posted a topic in Basses For Sale
Hey Guys, I’m not 100% sure that I want to move this on, but I’m finding myself using my other bass a bit more often lately and this is sat being unplayed. I’ve owned this from new when they became available on Thomann earlier this year. It had a couple of high frets which were quickly professionally seen to by Mark at Wilts Guitar Repair. Other than that, the bass is in great condition and currently strung up with a fresh set of DR High Beams. All specs and info can be found here: https://www.thomann.co.uk/sadowsky_metroexpress_24_5_modern_ma_ss.htm Some videos of it in action: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DH60nsVOcnq/?igsh=MXUzc2Q2Z3Zpdnp2eg== https://www.instagram.com/reel/DF3uTZ3NBr0/?igsh=MWJvd2FmM2VkdDc3ZQ== This bass comes with Sadowsky strap locks and a padded deluxe Sadowsky gig bag which is in great condition as well. I’d be interested in a possible trade for either: Spector Euro 5 String Musicman/Sterling Stingray 2EQ 4 String Lakland 55-60 5 String Warwick Streamer 5 String I have a Squier Classic Vibe 60’s jazz bass (Older model) that I could include as well for the right deal also. I have a box and can post at the buyers expense, otherwise this is can be collected from Bridgwater, Somerset. Thanks, Josh. -
This was one very interesting product. I couldn't find it from local shops, but your type number helped me to find and buy a few. Thank you Paul!

I do admit that sometimes tabs - even they are complex to read to me - may help with fingerings. It is interesting to see, how someone else is understanding and taming the fretboard.

I would also say, very much like his dad who also effortlessly flowed melodically around the fretboard, tastefully and always serving the song. -

You are very welcome and I am super happy you appreciated it, thank you John does have quite an extensive back catalogue and he never submitted his performance right for a lot of tracks so there's probably more recordings of him that we are not aware off. -
They are absolutely fine on trad large tuners. Just not on mini tuners like Ibanez use. Will be fine on a JMJ.

It was grim, I had a nasty bout of vertigo while setting up and a few wobbles while playing. I gad no idea the whole world would start warping and whirling round an hour after the gig!

I can't read pitch from a traditional score without great difficulty. But as I can read rhythm fairly well I find I can site read many songs from that sort of advanced tab including chsnhing to my preferred fingerings on the fly. -

Had a good rehearsal last night, but one of my guitarists still thinks it's the 70s. Small Marshall combo with a stack of Gain and drive pedals. Sound was good when playing (although really too heavy for most of our songs), but my god the noise when we stopped. Its sounded like there was a rain storm in the studio. I just dont get how he (or anyone else) can have that sort of noise when not playing. I have all the answers to how he can stop it, and if I ask him (got to the point where I was telling him) to turn if off he would, but totally clueless to the fact that he needed to. Even worse, I was the only one that this bothered. Dreading the next gig. -
