  2. Phil Jones Bighead Pro HA2 for sale. Bought from new from Bassdirect and had it about a year I think. Looking for £200 £180. I'm based in Cambridge. Here is some detail about the unit plus a photo or two and a link to a Youtube video. Mobile High Performance Multi-Function Headphone Amplifier/Digital Audio Interface The HA-2 is the second model in the Bighead series and is a step up model of the popular HA-1 Bighead with added technology and features. The HA-2 is a high resolution USB audio interface that supports PCM playback with up to 384 KHz sample rate/24 bit resolution. On DSD playback, sample rates of 2.822MHzand 5.644 MHz are supported, making it the ideal choice for musicians and engineers that desire high performance and the purest sound quality. It is a rechargeable lithium ion dynamo that is ideal for use in practice or recording situations. It also functions as a headphone booster amp as well as a preamp to drive powered amplifiers. The HA-2 has both passive and active instrument inputs with a 2 band EQ that is ideal for guitar and bass, yet versatile enough for use with other instruments. It has an internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery that is fed by its USB jack, so any computer or appropriate cell phone charger can charge it in less than 3 hours, but it can play for up to 8 hours. 3. Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush
  4. Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden
  5. Original bands often change their songstructures, why not a covers band, too. It has nothing to do with the intention to improve a "flawed" hit song. My band often moves parts, plays songs longer, give certain parts a different vibe. It simply catches the crowd´s attention, which is good.
  6. Just liberated a G&L L2000 from Jamie’s ownership. Great bass, exactly as described, and Jamie’s a pleasure to deal with - thank you 😎
  7. Love that song! Over The Hills And Far Away - LZ
  8. To the best of my knowledge, the only one in the UK.
  9. The disc is years old and out of print, so I doubt the maker will honour anything.
  10. GAS is a a terrible thing. So there I was all content after a really good year, then boom and 'must have ' bass punched a mighty hole in the budget. So, my two latest acquisitions need new homes. They are brand effectively and we all know the G & L story so this is it, want a new one?, you wont find any better. Here is my surf green SB-2. Without question a bass out on its own, spicy MFD pickups (with their trademark adjustable pole pieces), Twin volume control which on other SB-2s i have found to be really easy to dial in a volume/tone needed. That said the modder in me has purchased the dual concentric knobs ready for a stacked volume tone per pickup (like the early Jazz basses). I can throw those in. This hasnt been gigged (one jam session tho..) so is 10/10 perfect. Vinyl wrapped black plate (easily removed if needed..plain black underneath). I know i'll regret letting this go, they are going to be a cult classic imho. This was bought literally a week before G & L went out of business, so one of the last out the door. Fully set up with EB slinkies set on all fressh and ready to go. I can arrange shipping at buyers expense insured (or uninsured at buyers risk).

  11. Check out my other listing for my SB-2 or take a look at this... NOW £450 Anywho. 3 TSB Jazz bass, the G & L version, spicier pickups than your average J type bass in this price range. Beautifully finished and in 10/10 condition. Vinyl wrapped plate easily removed . I have been after a nice example of this since seeing Ritchie Kotzens 'riot'. I finally pulled the trigger on this new one in the early summer and very pleased i am too or was until i fell for 'another' way more expensive J beast. As with the SB-2 i'd love to keep it but needs must. I love the bridges on these bad boys. Fully set up with fresh EB slinkies. Can ship at buyer expense, pickup from Rochester or exchange somewhere near to the M25.

  12. That’s an absolute bargain!!
  13. I remember in early 80's i had to work outside on a liquid Oxygen back up system to the steelworks and it was -26 oC. Even with gloves on your hands were freezing cold. I can still remember the inside of my nose freezing up and my eyes starting to nip. Didn't help that it was open to fields and a breeze blowing across us. This was a call out job during the night when i was early 20's. Not so happy memories working in those conditions. It took me hrs to heat up again in the workshop afterwards. Dave
  14. Thanks for the explanation understood! But as I lean a little towards the "it sounds like a bass" camp, I won't be contributing much to the discussion 😆.
  15. Definitely US. This came from a parts bass made by a Sadowsky employee. No real markings on it to identify as such. The pickups were scrubbed out and headstock left blank for fear of repercussions. I still have the neck - Brazillian rosewood fingerboard, Graphtech nut, Schaller tuners.
  16. Brand new DR Lo-Rider nickel bass strings, 40-100 gauge. Unopened, uncut. £25 including postage.
  17. We may have had this one, but … Def Leopard. 😃 Mark
  18. -5 F which is -20 C. Now that is a bit nippy out. 🥶 Dave
  19. Looks like the original version which sounds a fair bit nicer than the more recent Mk3/Mk4 models!
  20. First time i've heard of a Cheap Trick tribute band. Well done and sounding great. Dave
  21. Yep a lot if not most of our Glam gigs are in Legion / Ex-Services or Bowling clubs. Dave
  22. A friend from Alaska said it was cold when you spit, it hits the ground, then ‘cracks’. They said it’s really cold when you spit, it cracks and then bounces 😂
  23. I'm winding everything back now and having a clearcut of all the stuff I'm unlikely to ever use again. I'm open to sensible offers for any of these - the £900 shown in the listing is for the whole lot, collected. Prices include postage to UK addresses apart from the Take 5 - please PM to discuss collection or delivery options for that. Given that this is a clearout, I'm not really looking for swaps but feel free to let me know if you have anything - to be honest, it's unlikely but you never know! Sequential Take 5 analogue synth - immaculate condition, boxed, upgraded to the latest firmware and patches £750 Zoom R12 portable multitrack recorder - bought to record the band at rehearsal and only used once before the band imploded. Boxed, immaculate £150 Roland VT4 voice transformer - bought when I entertained fantasies of singing backing vox. Again, used just the once and then retired along with the rest of my dreams. £125 UNO drum machine - a great little drum machine, fantastic for giving us a basic beat whenever the drummer failed to make rehearsals. Light usage, boxed and immaculate condition £100 Waldorf Streichfett string synth - surprisingly versatile little synth that does a great job of recreating the sound of 70s string synths. Immaculate, boxed £150 Thanks for looking - if you have any questions or would like photographs, please PM

  24. The new EMG E6W pickups are BART-sized too, there’s a separate thread on those. Low End Lobster dropped some in to a EHB1005MS.
