  1. Past hour
  2. When I was in my teenage years I got kicked out of an indie band just as we were on the cusp of actually making some kind of headway (BBC introducing, some local radio play, bit of a following etc) I got a call one day from the singer saying his mum had cancer and he wanted to stop all band activities to focus on caring for her which I totally understood. A few days later I see a post on our Facebook page saying I left to pursue different avenues. Nobody else in the band had any objection or contacted me. The band stalled and fell apart including some poor financial decisions leaving a few of them in debt and off speaking terms. I see a lot of people saying to poach the singer but for me he is complicit. Find people you can share your passion with and think how lucky you are to not be tied to the sh*ts before it got really messy would be my hot take!
  3. My first proper bass! Daphne blue with the following fettling: -Gotoh Res O Lite tuners -CTS pots (eliminating the pointless pull for quieter vol arrangement) -Nitro lacquered fretboard (professionally done) as they come literally naked. -Fresh roundwounds Couple of touched up chips, but in fine shape all round. Priced to sell. Can courier or deliver in the south.
  4. Oh no, to be fair it was a late decision today. Sorry
  5. Hi Would it be best to drill the hole out to say 4-5mm and then fill it or leave it as-is? thanks rob
  6. Back home now with the BG250 115 combo. In almost unused condition, came with a lovely padded leather cover and I think I got it for a great price too.

    Sean's Feedback

Sean just called to pick up an Ibanez ATK from me today, dead easy to arrange collection/payment, top man. Cheers, Graham
  8. Sounds as if someone felt threatened by your experience and knowledge. Shame it cost you a friend.
  9. Genuine Ebmm scratchplate in black pearl from an early 2000s USA sterling 4h. good used condition
  10. This use to be my bass I had it down as 4kg on my kitchen scales not a super lightweight but definitely not heavy. No problem using my photos, I loved the neck on this bass but just not a fender fan GLWS
  11. I've always found bands to be friendly towards fans and more than happy to have a chat if they have time. I was at a gig last year to see Mondo Generator, a band fronted by ex Queens Of The Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri and he was really cool, just hanging out chatting to fans right from when the doors opened until he went on stage. While the local support act were on, he was stood next to me head banging away. That's how it should be done. Craig Charles does things a different way. Grumpy b'stard. I was only trying to tell him he'd dropped his wallet.
  12. Its lovely, id need to sell my EB 4HH though 🤔
  13. Another top night of Ska classics in a little boozer in Bromsgrove. This is just so much fun. Crap clip but you get the idea ScreenRecording_06-01-2025 10-01-51_1.mov
  14. You're joking! If I'd have known you were going to sell this... Just bought a beautiful German one so I'm all spent out. I've played this very bass folks and it is splendid in every way!
  15. Suppose it depends how you cook them
  16. My 16 year old suddenly decided he wanted to try the old electric drum kit - perfect for the recycled Trace cab! I would have killed to have this in my room at his age!
  17. I might mention that this is a very good travel bass: full scale, and still so tiny.

  21. Again so nice. You guys have a great sound together. Dave
  22. Thanks, I respect your opinion on this, I’m only assuming it’s blockless on “experts” telling me it is without a physical examination. I’ll try to get it confirmed one way or the other. Regards Eddie
