Gary Willis's complete bass part for 'Punking Head' from the 1985 Tribal Tech album, 'Spears', including the solo. That's all of the album done now (there is no bass on the track 'Tribal') so I no longer fear death. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/punking-head-tribal-tech/

Why were older basslines so much more interesting?
Beedster replied to Stub Mandrel's topic in Theory and Technique
I've been listening to music with this thread in mind recently. While there some wonderful basslines out there in contemporary music, and in the recordings of some surprising artists, I think I've changed my view. Yes, older basslines were (generally) more interesting 👍 - Today

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

Well, G is for 1 billion, so it'd be billions of times worse. 1024 would be kB, which wouldn't then be GB. Unless you believe in the multiverse, in which case they already exist in all permutations, every second of every day, and thus far exceeds even a TB and even a personal best (PB). Incidentally, just as "g" is excluded as a prefix because it is the symbol for grammes, "K" isn't allowed because it is the symbol for the Kelvin temperature range. Thus kilogrammes are denoted by kg. OK? -

Ah, but it also denotes Great Britain. One Britain is bad enough, can you imagine how awful 1024 of them would be? Oh, the tera! -

I'm looking to emulate great tones using the new multi-pedal I've just got, as I play in covers bands and looking to get more authentic tones. Hope to personally benefit from the wisdom and experience of basschatters and hope others can too.
