  1. Past hour
  2. "CHICAGO'S" first album "Chicago Transit Authority" with the very underrated Peter Cetera on bass.
  3. I'm going to be pretty firm on price I think. I'm not in a huge hurry to sell and though the mods affect value these have gone for a LOT more previously. Thank you for your interest though! 😊
  4. Metallica and justice for all ! Well not really … I’m still contemplating ! Then I’ll probably change my mind a few times
  5. I will attempt to do the same. Although I’ll have to type them out.
  6. It's an interesting one, isn't it? My meanie side instantly thought "fail on all tiers". It's not a repair (as in it's not faulty just because it has frets when you don't want it to have them), it's a modification. It would only be OK if you simply yanked the frets out, but I presume the holes where the frets used to be will be filled with something? That's where it breaks down - those line markers weren't there before. But then I thought on the other hand, you are preventing the purchasing of a fretless bass (or neck) by modifying an existing bass, and strips of wood aren't in the signal chain. I guess my question would be - do you need a fretless for a project or band, or are you just bored? Intent is important.
  7. Probably The Clash's London Calling. The bass sound of Guns Of Brixton is worth the price of entry alone.
  8. I'm not sure. I put @Woody1957 in touch with the seller and that was the last I heard. I can send you the seller's details if you want.
  9. Agreed. I always loved the original V-Mod pickups in my previous American Professional V.1 Precision with their mix of Alnico 2 & 5 magnets. I'm thinking of dropping in to get my Tech to test them on Monday to see if anything is actually wrong with it. It's a barely used bass that was bought new by a guitarist and never really played much or taken outside his house, so I'm assuming it's got no gremlins as such.
  10. That’s lovely mate. Good luck with the sale.
  11. Much as I've enjoyed having this amp, I have another combo for gigs and practice, so putting it back up for sale. The LEDs for O/L and Limit don't light up but all is in good working order. Manual attached Collection from Wallasey, Merseyside. _home_httpd_data_media-data_a_ctr500_manual- (2).pdf
  12. Not my favourite band or album but Jamiroquai's Emergency on Planet Earth' has consistently sublime basslines from start to finish, most of them up front and centre in the mix.
  13. Bought new, kept it in pedalboard since forever. Actually I’m not even removing it until it sells don’t have the original box though (I moved between places since buying). It has 3M Dual Lock Velcro underneath, and naturally is in full working order. Wasn’t stomped much - I was usually engaging it through paired DMC Micro. And on rare occasions it was - it has the button cap! Highly recommended. I can post through Royal Mail Tracking24 for 5 quid or we can arrange local pickup in London

  16. Just to rub it in... 😆 It's quite glorious.
  17. Really good basses - GLWTS
  18. really interested in this ill message u
  19. GAS is a a terrible thing. So there I was all content after a really good year, then boom and 'must have ' bass punched a mighty hole in the budget. So, my two latest acquisitions need new homes. They are brand effectively and we all know the G & L story so this is it, want a new one?, you wont find any better. Here is my surf green SB-2. Without question a bass out on its own, spicy MFD pickups (with their trademark adjustable pole pieces), Twin volume control which on other SB-2s i have found to be really easy to dial in a volume/tone needed. That said the modder in me has purchased the dual concentric knobs ready for a stacked volume tone per pickup (like the early Jazz basses). I can throw those in. This hasnt been gigged (one jam session tho..) so is 10/10 perfect. Vinyl wrapped black plate (easily removed if needed..plain black underneath). I know i'll regret letting this go, they are going to be a cult classic imho. This was bought literally a week before G & L went out of business, so one of the last out the door. Fully set up with EB slinkies set on all fressh and ready to go. I can arrange shipping at buyers expense insured (or uninsured at buyers risk).

  20. Check out my other listing for my SB-2 or take a look at this... Anywho. 3 TSB Jazz bass, the G & L version, spicier pickups than your average J type bass in this price range. Beautifully finished and in 10/10 condition. Vinyl wrapped plate easily removed . I have been after a nice example of this since seeing Ritchie Kotzens 'riot'. I finally pulled the trigger on this new one in the early summer and very pleased i am too or was until i fell for 'another' way more expensive J beast. As with the SB-2 i'd love to keep it but needs must. I love the bridges on these bad boys. Fully set up with fresh EB slinkies. Can ship at buyer expense, pickup from Rochester or exchange somewhere near to the M25.

  22. Lovely, glwts.
  23. Live After Death
  24. Yes, but once you have played your stack with the volume unleashed in a bar you may want some more of that. I used to take my 1518 to a jam and one time another guy brought his combo so we used both. After that I always took my 210 as well. It's not as if the solo 1518 was short of oomph but the effortless weight of tone that could be brought forth by digging in a bit with master only on 2, aye karumba, overkill is good when used responsibly.
