  2. I suppose it would be possible to do some kind of screen recording but I'm not bothered. I'm thinking of it more as a live event at home. No way I could ever afford tickets or even get there if I could, so I'll be up in my barn with it on the big cinema screen. I'm also pretty happy that all the proceeds are going to charity shop for once I actually don't mind paying for it.
  3. This live stream costs as much as a ticket to a real gig, it's, what, £25? Much as I love Sabbath, this is 10 years too late and looks like being a bad cabaret. Not for me, thanks.
  4. If I got to keep a copy of the stream then that would be cool. If not, then I'll wait till its on YouTube
  5. Why? - The Specials
  6. Twickenham-bound today.

    COYB! 💙🖤🤍

  7. Also happy to help. Everyone deserves a leg up when down. Best wishes.
  8. I was going to say teak is heavy.
  9. I haven't paid for a live stream event since the disappointment of the Tyson v Hollyfield fight back in 1997 but I'm definitely doing this one. Some of my favourite bands and artists of all time are in the line up. I don't know if it's regional pricing but the stream ticket is only the equivalent of about a tenner so pretty fair really. Really looking forward to this one. Is anybody else planning on streaming it?

  11. Nothing Ever Happens - Del Amitri
  12. Another vote for mahogany going on looks. If you had some to compare teak is harder and heavier than most types of mahogany .
  13. Pretty Soon I Don't Know What But Something Is Going To Happen - Norma Jean
  14. I Don't Know - Paul McCartney
  15. Very nice P bass in good working order. One ding on lower edge, otherwise in good condition. Price includes shipping in a generic hard case. Ashtrays & tug bar included.
  16. How easy would this system be to retrofit to a Fender Jazz? I have a tester instrument I’d love to try it out on.
  17. What's Going On ? - Marvin Gaye
  18. Price drop on the H9 as I think I overpriced it - £330 including postage (UK)

  20. Gig 1 of 3 this weekend. We don't normally do 3 in a weekend but tonight's gig got moved from next week. Last time we played here we decided it was such a small, noisy area to set up in that we would do it "acoustically" because of the smaller footprint and lower volume. Of course none of us remembered that, so we shoehorned in the full kit again. The pub was rather quiet though with not many in. That lead us to a bit of musical silliness, which always helps a slower night go faster, plus engages the people that are there. So it ended up a good, if hot (I remembered the fan!) night. Best of all only 15 minutes away from my house and home by half past midnight. Cheap "stingish" bass into the usual Rumble. Converse feet.
  21. It's the fretboard on my upcoming ACG build. Light and streaky is how I like it!
  22. For Sale: Aguilar Super Single 5 string soapbar pickup (P2 size). Neck pickup only. Previously fitted to a bass, but it's in excellent condition.. fully working and sounds great! Mounting screws included, no original packaging but it will be well packed for delivery. £75 including UK delivery (tracked & insured). Payment via bank transfer (preferred) or PayPal. I'm happy to post outside the UK, feel free to message me for a quote 🙂
  23. I have a similar bass (1975) albeit with maple fretboard - yours looks all original to me and in very nice condition. Would be a very good deal at the price you've set in my opinion. Good luck with it!
  24. Ah thanks so much for this! It’s pretty hard to get the word out about these cans all right. They’re pretty special. I’ve used mine with a Glockenklang Bass Art or a Glockenklang Blue Sky. They’re killer speakers. So balanced and articulate. They’re especially good for double bass. I mean I just think double bass is so hard to amplify. Most of the so called acoustic set-ups out there are pretty horrendous. I really loved the Bass Art and Accugroove set-up. Just have had to scale down. Having to use public transport a lot with double bass and amp these days so having the accurgroove and head bass heads is not working out. Thanks for your review of the Accugroove here anyway! Might help entice someone to buy.
  25. +1 for Leathergraft. I have the 100mm wide strap and I can busk a 5 hour set without shoulder pain (but my brain is totally knackered) David
  26. This is the new range of headless basses - looks really good to me. This is the Anaconda Medusa MD5 Essence, Anaconda already build this as a custom bass at their North London workshop, but this is from the lower cost range. The spec looks really good.
  27. That is truly gorgeous, sPiKi. Congrats on a lovely Japanese Jazz
