The latest addition to my website is a bass transcription for Olivia Dean's "Be My Own Boyfriend" with Finn Zeferino-Birchall on bass. Another gem from the UK.

I'm not saying Andertons aren't good, but if you buy pretty much anything online the shops legally need to let you easily return it for a refund within 14 days, defective or not - the buyer doesn't even need to provide a reason. "You must offer a refund to customers if they’ve told you within 14 days of receiving their goods that they want to cancel. They have another 14 days to return the goods once they’ve told you. You must refund the customer within 14 days of receiving the goods back. They do not have to provide a reason." https://www.gov.uk/accepting-returns-and-giving-refunds

Not sure about the tuners, by the decal is very straightforward. Sand off, tidy up, apply new decal, varnish/clear coat over. Done.

I remember going to a Sunn0))) gig. My ears were ringing for days even with high quality custom plugs. Yes it's *authentic*, but wow.

It's almost impressive how much they can increase the prices between the US and other markets now. 48% difference in retail prices between the US and the UK. Right enough.

Hohner "The Jack" Restoration
Mediocre Polymath replied to Mediocre Polymath's topic in Build Diaries
Trick is to go for the one for tomatoes, it doesn't have any internal shelving. It's not the sturdiest thing – its ok with the weight of the Hohner, and could probably cope with a body and a neck separately, but it would buckle under the weight of, say, an Ibanez Musician or an Aria SB. -
...and is it possible to use the rear part and tuning key from the Musicmaster with the Mustang neck? The Mustang neck has the bigger string posts which is obviously much better, so wondered if I could combine the two (or is that being silly)
-
If I want to put a Musicmaster decal on the Mustang neck, is that a mission? I guess the original needs stripping back and re-varnishing or something? Maybe not a massive headache if the neck is getting a glam up anyway?

fuzzrocious big fella overdrive distortion fuzz pedal used live a couple of times, but only ever for one particular song and it feels silly to have such a great pedal going relatively unused not too fussed if this doesn't sell, so offers would have to be close to list price comes with original box, stickers etc. has velcro on the back £150, includes UK P&P.

Can I cut this off a the pass, before it decends into another 'sound engineers are rubbish' thread. It's about amps/guitarists being too loud on stage and the face PoliiceSquad did the heroes thing and walked off

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

My fix was just to take the battery carrier partly out. I do want to come up with a better fix - may have a look at that shortly.

Wot, the shiny one? Nice isn't it - though not mine. Just an example of the sort of thing I'm going for (hopefully possible with a decent starting point)

To be fair to Satriani & Co, such occurrences are not down to them, but to knob waving by the FoH engineer (who was probably hired by the promoter, not the artist). It probably sounded fine to them on stage.
-
I was going to mention the 10-string Dean Edge Hammer. I have one - the neck is rather on the thick side but it's not bad.

Brian bought some Spector style fret stickers from me and all was excellent! Cheers Brian
