Is a higher number of basses a good or a bad score? I know the E-Type Jag used to win everything with 12 Cylinders, but would an electric Lotus 7 (for instance) trump that today?

That looks lovely! I went from mainly playing my Mustang to a SBMM Sub Ray 5 quite a few years ago now. I think I prefer 5s these days, but it's fun going to my Mustang from my Dingwall. Totally different beasts. Enjoy discovering it!

Patrick Francis started following The very lightest tuners (for a Stingray) - advice please

I'm coming to the conclusion there is not a Gotoh Res-O-Lite lightweight tuner replacement for Ernie Ball basses - and the Hipshot lightweights will leave visible screw holes on your headstock. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'd prefer to be wrong. This is for a USA made Ernie Ball Sterling which has a bit of neck drive due to the lightweight smaller body. What I soon discovered is a bit of neck dive can be fixed not necessarily by a wider strap, but a more "grippy" one at the right height. Spend a bit of time and try raising your bass a bit. Let the top horn of the bass reach up to about halfway across your sternum. What I soon discovered is what I initially thought was unrecoverable case of neck dive, turned out to be quite manageable.

New Amp Day - Trace Elliot BLX130 Combo and matching cab
Chienmortbb replied to bawjohnson's topic in Amps and Cabs
The BLX130 is the one amp I regret selling and I sold it because,,,, I could not find the extension cabinet. -
@Chienmortbb @Pow_22 Thanks for the information. With all the talk of valve tone and the thump of class A/B power amps and the heft - there, I said it 😱 - that you get from old school amp designs like this, coupled with what I think is pretty much a give away price, I'm surprised this is still hanging around. Someone somewhere mentioned that this series of amps wasn't particularly desirable but given that they doesn't suffer from the wooly sound some folks complain of with Ashdown amps I think they're an underrated gem. But as I gig almost exclusively on IEMs these days and have a light weight amp and cab for the occasional dep gig with backline, this is sadly in the way and needs to go to a new loving home.

Well, what do you know, he removed my comment linking to the free patches that I’ve shared within the community via the Panda official cloud site. I wonder why…🤔 He also removed my comment thanking him for showcasing the pedal and linking to the Facebook group I set up.🤷🏻

Rick 4001 owner here since 1989. Always used 45-105 roundwounds. Tailpiece has maybe lifted a couple of mm but nothing of any concern whatsoever. No ill effects at all on the neck. In fact, I had it set up by the Bass Centre in 1990 and apart from the occasional slight intonation tweak I've never had to touch it. - Today

As said, it does nothing. It’s the control for the SGT voice so if the SGT side is off it has no effect.

There’s something I’ve got my eye on so, £50 off but if that item sells the price will go back up. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.
