I assume so, AFAIK the CV were made in China early on but moved to the Indonesian Cort factory that produced the now defunct VM range. Wouldn't really matter to me if I wanted one tbh. both locations can produce some great instruments.
-
How is that really any different from them being made in Mexico (or Japan) for decades? From my understanding* the Indo factories are much more modern in equipment than at least the Mex one. By the same logic, why is my superb PRS SE guitar just a decal too? * Phil McKnight is doing a tour of the huge Cort factory in the next couple of weeks, so we'll see that one first hand.

Yeah that's right the top is only 6mm thick so I cut that out separately on the the laser engraver then glue the top onto the body and use that as the template to rout the body shape, then I rout out all the cavities, fit the magnets and hey presto flush mounted pickguard 👍🏻

kiat started following Zoom B3 top tips?
-
I've been (pub, function) gigging with my B3 these past 12 months and it's been a godsend (every basic effect I need and an integrated DI). However, I've decided to go my first pedalboard (power, wireless guitar, wirless IEM, DI, dedicated tuner) and the B3 won't fit on my compact design, so I've ordered a Valeton GP-5. But I'll continue to use my B3 wherever possible, including for experimentation whether the patch ideas and settings end up on the GP-5 as well. Tips that work for me are: assigning patches to single pedals (Compression, Octave, etc) as well as the multi-pedals. using the DI which can do PRE or POST (depending on the gig and band, I use PRE when DI'ing to IEM headphone amps and POST when DI'ing to a PA/FOH). preserve the ability to restore patches and their settings to their factory setting - otherwise the only way to do it is to reset the entire unit (the factory settings have to be first saved to an attached computer and reimported via connected Edit&Share B3 software). keep full batteries in it as a backup, but run it off power don't drop your B3 (again)! On the outside it is built like a small tank, but inside it is not - my battery holder shattered into 3 pieces and only careful supergluing got it back working, avoiding having to hunt online for a replacement part (had little hope they are still being made or even a published model, 3d printed).

Oh fair enough. Is it just the cheaper Squier range made in China then? I would still buy the Squier, but surely it renders the Fender nothing more than a decal!

This bass started life as a Gherson Jazz bass that I bought off @Bass Wielder here last year I have had the neck completely refretted and levelled as there was some buzzing up at the dusty end Rerouted for new Toltec Jazz pickups, ring around the bridge pickup is to hide the previous rout as the original pickups were an odd ball size New Pickguard added and the original pots used Tuners also changed out Schaller bridge fitted Weight is 4.6 Kg's The body is just a lovely, pickups are lively and loud Asking price is about half what it cost me in total to put togeather but the result is great IMHO I will include free delivery to UK addresses

Bartolini MK1 Soapbar sized pickups that sound like Active EMGs
Dood replied to Delberthot's topic in Accessories and Misc
The ExW is indeed a wide aperture ceramic pickup. 12.2Khz res frequency, "giant stacked square coil". EMG say they have essentially filled the entire shell to accomodate the design. It will do 27 VDC like other EMGs if thats your bag. E4W: 32mm x 101mm E5W: 32mm x 109mm E6W: 32mm x 119mm -

Anybody knows where to get carton boxes for a bass guitars? I have sold my house and moving abroad. Got 21 basses so looking where to get some used or even new carton boxes. Thanks in advance.

This is the first thing we did, ordered the rack and extra bits at the same time as the XR18. One box, one plug and no hassle.

I`ve found that my US Precisions seem to put the needle into the red on the hardest notes with the Input Gain at 3 o`clock. This with the Shape enabled, and Valve Drive fully on.

I've just replaced an old Behringer X18 with a new Midas MR18. I'm using the same mixing station app with my custom template. Putting all the PA gear in one rack has saved around 15 mins on set up and strip down times. Having it hard wired really has taken the pressure off me as I'm the only one who knows how to set it up properly.

I did buy Smart-EQ3 but didn't really enjoy it. I found that the EQ moves it suggested with some instruments (mainly acoustic drums) to be truly strange! I didn't get to the point of using the plugin as intended over a number of tracks. I might have to revist it. Smart-gate however is really great.

So the Squier would be Idonesian Cort but what does the ISF denote on the Fender? Samick?

They're both Indonesian

Having a Squier Jazz with Fender fretless neck, aftermarket tuners, and about to get aftermarket pickups... in retrospect I'd have bought a Fender from the start. Nothing to do with quality, just the branding.
