  2. Boss RV-6 for sale, this one is mint and in perfect working order, no box, collection welcome or UK insured postage for £8.50 BOSS RV-6 Reverb Effects Pedal Combining high-end sound and wide-ranging versatility, the BOSS RV-6 takes pedal-based reverb to the next level. Reaching beyond the capabilities of previous generations, this powerful stomp employs the latest tech and legendary BOSS know-how to make it easy to get amazing reverb tones instantly. From subtle rooms to modern shimmer effects to long, evocative reverbs, the RV-6 envelops your tone in lush ambient spaces that endlessly inspire. BOSS RV6, Simply Great-Sounding Reverbs Packing the latest BOSS DSP and updated algorithms, the BOSS RV-6 gives you eight highly musical reverb effects in one compact pedal. Add body and depth to your core tone with standards like Room, Hall, and Plate, dial up swirling richness with the Modulate setting, or surf it up with a vintage-style Spring reverb. Dynamic mode automatically adjusts the effect depth to your playing touch, providing deep, immersive reverb that won’t turn your tone to mud. And modern players will love the new Shimmer and Reverb+Delay modes. Dialed-In Reverb Sounds at Your Command The BOSS RV6 makes getting high-quality reverb sounds with your guitar quick and easy—just select a sound mode, tweak the knobs to taste, and play. But while its operation is simple, the RV-6’s sound is rich and sophisticated. Under the hood, each mode includes a huge array of detailed reverb parameters, all perfectly tuned for guitar by the BOSS engineers with direct input from many pro players and sound engineers. Even as you adjust the selected mode with the Time and Tone knobs, many parameters are simultaneously adjusted inside to create the ideal voicing for every setting. Analog Dry Tone and Versatile I/O While the BOSS RV-6’s reverb effects are high-tech digital, you can rest assured that your straight guitar tone always remains pure analog as the effect is blended in. Convenient auto-switching jacks let you integrate with any pedal chain, with support for mono, mono-to-stereo, and stereo-to-stereo operation. And by plugging into the B input only, the BOSS RV6 outputs a 100-percent wet sound, great for working with more complex rigs that employ parallel processing chains and mixers. There’s also a jack for connecting an optional expression pedal, allowing you to control the effect level in real time as you play.
  3. I think the key part of that infomercial was where he was saying he was playing their own pedal back to them and they didn't realise it was their pedal... he can make gear sound good - that goes a long way. Plus - good marketing, and a really condidered feature set.
  4. Agree with this. Back then they were really cutting edge and had great service. I've kept mine and I love the cabs. The only issues are the buttons.
  5. If her bath is big enough, perhaps you could pop round and give her advice on reaching the high notes. (Don't drop the i-Pad in though.)
  6. Immaculate condition and in original box. This pedal needs no introduction, it’s a bass rig on your pedal board. Selling because I prefer my alternative option for DI. Price includes shipping to locations in the UK. I did the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.
  7. Excellent. Hope it brings you years of playing-happiness.
  8. Little Things - Bush
  9. Thanks for the thoughts all. I think the issue of tonal variation is that the way things are at present, I’m simply not getting much contribution from the bridge pickup, and being passive there’s not really much can be done about that. I just need more middy J tone. And then if I factor in the single-coil hum issues, some kind of “humbucking” active PJ solution seems a reasonable way to go. I’m properly tempted by the EMG PJ, but of course very aware that I might be wasting my time/money and should have gone out for dinner or bought a book. Just not a book on guitar mods. P
  10. If you don't own one of these, a Noble/Capo and a Cali 76, are you even really a bass player
  11. Dick-a-Dum-Dum — Des O'Connor
  12. I did this and it went down really well, they were apologetic that I'd been committed for so long (same length as you). Do it sooner rather than later and keep searching.
  13. Tearfully say "We need to talk. I'm not ready for this kind of relationship - you deserve better, it's not you, it's me." Then run away laughing and shout "Smell ya'later losers!" (try not to trip over at this point).
  14. I'm in that minority too 🤣
  15. This has now been sold along with a bit of my history. When I bought it John Lennon was still alive, I was single and the magnificent Bruce Foxton had 2 number 1 singles with the Jam. 😬
  16. Some hairspray rock bands would still have been alive and well around '89; the Likes of Poison, for example. Unfortunately for them, a certain band from Seattle upset the apple cart a mere two years later.
  17. My ding a ling - Chuck Berry
  18. Urgh (Apologies... I know I'm in a rapidly diminishing minority)
  19. It's difficult when you realise a band has no future (especially when you like the people in the band) and you have to bail out. I've done it a couple of times. I recommend asking ChatGPT ,or Grok, how you would write a very diplomatic 'Dear John' letter to your band. I'm sure the AI will come up with something you could use.
  20. Tell them you will pick them all up on the way to the next gig, but don't. Then replace them all with new band members.
  21. Their horrendous levels of enthusiasm almost make me not want one. I do still want one though.
  22. Simply ask Vanderkley, he is speaking English...
  23. That’s a lot of sales. 3000 units in 28 hours and the next 3000 already sold in advance of production! They definitely hit the right combination formula of features and marketing.
  24. Put these up last night, but they're not doing anything hence price drop... Or offers! Try me! Trades for a Harley Benton or similar, or a preamp? Again... Try me if you've got something lying around not being used!
