Two keys players in one band?

Virtually new Fender Bassman 100 cover from Roqsolid, i got it to use while my flightcase was being manufactured so was only used briefly. Its a little dusty but will wipe. They're about £65 new + shipping Cover is in Hope Valley, happy to post within UK, probably gonna cost a tenner just for how small it doesn't fold up.

For sale, my Octave Mandola OR Octave Mandolin (they are the same thing). Shorter scale than an Irish Bouzouki, this one is tuned GDAE in unison pairs (or courses). Condition is excellent, not quite mint and includes a nice TGI gig bag that is a perfect fit. Mandola is in Hope Valley (S33 6SB) for local collection or I could deliver locally too. Could attempt uk posting but it isn't as solid as a bass so I'd be a bit wary of that.

Brand new, never opened as I got it as a spare when our old drummer used to sing, (Levon not Phil btw), clearing boxes to make space for new toys... Specs... 3/8" female thread 3/8" male thread Diameter: 15 mm Length: 400 mm Material: Aluminium Weight: 0.32 kg Finish: Black These are currently £20 new (+ postage) from thomann, this one is also new. It's in Hope Valley but I'll include uk postage.

I prefer the peach one they did a couple of years ago.

Ive got just the right suit to match if you wanted to borrow it 😁
-
Just wear a tort suit*. Tort goes with every bass colour. TalkBass told me so it must be true. * bonus joke for the lawyers!

Just on the subject of hall fees, when I contacted our local parish council to hire the rooms for the SE Basheroonie, I told them that surplus proceeds would be going to a local charity where I volunteer and they reduced the fee.

Definitely 2 of them... Since selling my 1994 Blue TRB6 as a poor mature jazz student to someone on this site in the mid-2000s (that subsequently sold it on a few times and unable to trace), I still massively regret it to this day. I bought it from Chappells in Milton Keynes as a 16 year old after working and saving for a long time. Every so often I look for it, but I've accepted it's likely locked away in it's case somewhere but hope it's being enjoyed by a young bass player somewhere. However after this one came up at Bass Bros I knew I had to try it. I've had many basses over the years but none have ever felt so natural to play. Maybe 10 years of formative learning on an instrument is ingrained in me. So this one was same year albeit different colour. Still, in immaculate condition. Think it was Cairobill's? Although it seems to be like buses...a Black 96 TRB6 also came available. Tbh I wish I could keep both but reality is after losing job last year (FU tech industry) I recently also had to shift my KS Burl Burner which in any other circumstance I'd still have. But man, I got 3 kids to feed... So going to play both for a bit and decide which one stays and which one goes... To this day I'm convinced there is no better value for money and sounding 6 string that these OG Japanese Yamaha's.

Without sounding like a twit, I’d find it really hard to dress with a bass of that colour. Not a fan. Stack knobs are cool though.

Well, I think it's a great colour - particularly with the matching headstock - and I look forward to being able to snap one up for a song later on in the year 😛 It looks better in the video than it does in the Andertons product photos. I think it could look rather saucy with the pickguard and hardware changed to black.

I remember in my teens going down the local on a Wednesday night (band night), the place was always heaving. I'd always nose for the bass gear (as we all do) and if i were lucky, a monster like this would be sqeezed into the corner dominating the small area the landlord used to put the bands. Guitarists egos would melt with their silly little Hughes & Ketner combos or Marshall 4x10's. Drummers pah. They'd better not make it angry. Effortlessly filling the room with quality tone. Almost like it was filling every availble part of the put without killing the band sound as a whole. No farting, no humming. Just casually blowing your trousers off if you were close enough. It's a sight to behold and nothing to shy away from. It mentions the bass player was serious mustard. Im glad to see this being gigged. 🙂 -

Just seen the Andertons exclusive player II series jazz bass, jazzmaster, strat, & tele in lavender haze. This colour in nitro on a JMJ with no relicing shenanigans would look good. or perhaps a metallic version of lavender haze Wow! If I dismantle one of my daphne blue JMJs, where can I send the body to get this finish done in nitro, and what would the cost be? edit: matching headstock! - Today
