I bought a Faital Pro 12” driver from John. Great communications and it came beautifully packed. I think it would have survived a bomb blast! Buy with confidence!
-
Yes, it seemed a lot for a dwarf, that is what I have, mine is way simpler, but it is my daily gigging setup in a cover band so there isn't much out there needed!

What are you listening to right now?

That's very nice. And, more importantly for the OP, the company appears to cover the return shipping costs for refunds. https://folkiesmusic.co.uk/policies/refund-policy

An absolute pleasure to meet Tom. Great to deal with and I'm very happy to recommend.

As for the Apple thing, it’s usually kept up to date, but I can’t say for certain as I don’t use it. Best to email their support with any specific questions about that and Zsolt will be able to answer them definitively. (Incidentally I think Andras actually ran a windows emulator on his Mac at one of the trade shows before the actual Mac version of that update was ready.) As for power supplies, I use a Strymon Zuma, but have also used a One Spot adaptor and a standard adaptor that comes with Source Audio pedals.

Wow, as far as I know he plays with Dingwall now. Curiously my Sandberg is his model, the Enigma 5 strings and I couldn't be happier. In my opinion Sandberg has a "vintage" sound but a little more aggressive, due to the humbucker in the bridge pick up I guess, but is a bass that works for me in every situation.

StingRayBoy42 started following Aguilar Tonehammer amp with Double Bass? and Combo for a beginner
-
The Markbass CMD 101 is a lovely little amp. 60 Watts, sounds great, tiny little thing with a big sound, I got mine used for about £175.
-
Good for him!
-
I've got half an eye on getting an Aguilar Tonehammer amp (probably twinned with a Barefaced cab), mainly for normal electric Bass but I play upright as well and if I do take the plunge, I could do with getting rid of my current (Markbass) amps. Has anyone used an Aguilar TH with DB? Did it sound any good? I'd be using a Fishamn Platinum Pro EQ before the amp. All and any input gratefully recieved!

The majority of the music I release is subscriber-only on Bandcamp (huge thankstto those of you who are subscribers ☺️), but a couple of times a year I make things public and my most recent one has been out just over a month. Called Amsterdam, it was recorded there (all except the opening track), and as with everything of mine is all one take, unedited improvised tunes. Enjoy! https://stevelawson.bandcamp.com/album/amsterdam

Just grabbed this Sansamp Bass DI from @tayste_2000, one of the OG ones with internal trim pots. I’ve played with Sansamps at gigs and used them in the studio on occasion but never owned one. This thing is great, it’s got a lot more clank compared to other newer models I’ve tried, while I loved the OPUS, I wanted something which didn’t add as much colour. Doesn’t disappoint!

Tonkin2 started following Anyone's got Thundercat's actual pedalboard pics and settings?
-
Hi guys, I'm really interested in recreating this tone for a tribute vids. I remember seeing some pictures of his boards on his story around 2024 before but wasn't fast enough to take a pic, does anybody have a better screenshots from the old ones or actual pedalboard he's using on tour right now? It'd be great if you guys have some info involving it! Thank You!

Up is my TRB1006J. Recently bought a high end 6 and can't justify keeping it. It's been well looked after and had a full service and a brand new barrel jack in June. The previous owner had a ramp installed (very well I might add), there is also dunlop straplocks installed, other than that its all original. I can post but I would prefer not to, I travel quite a bit so Im always happy to try and make a meet up work. Mainly after cash, but try me for trades. Thanks

2 superb bass cabs In great condition, that have served me well but dont get used anymore and need a new home. Everything works without any issues, a couple of hex nuts missing off the back but can be easily replaced for pence if you really need to. Comes with 2 Hotcovers protective covers worth over £100. Would be interested in a trade for a Fender Mustang Bass. Specs Ashdown ABM 410H 600w 8ohm Ashdown ABM 115 300w 8ohm

Action too high but fret buzz from on all frets from 7th to 23rd
Kiwi replied to colin100's topic in Repairs and Technical
It depends on how low you have the action set but if it's as low as it can go without not playing at all, then it seems like you might need to tweak the neck relief until the neck is dead straight and then investigate whether there is too much neck angle. If you're still getting fret buzz in the upper frets despite having a straight neck then reduce the neck angle a smidge with a thinner shim (assuming one is in there). Then you'll only have to adjust the action. -
Many thanks Andy, especially appreciate the advice re impedance 🙏 Any plans to bring out a Subway combo?
