    Wet. Up early to drive to Lancashire from Surrey to play the Wafsville Country Music Festival. Traffic meant we arrived with 25 minutes to spare before going onstage, which was great in terms of not hanging around in a soggy field to be fair but we were slightly on edge… The rain set in as our set progressed so the crowd noticeably thinned as they sought the cover of the bar area at the back of the field. Onstage sound was very boomy, as it was lit front apparently, so we come away feeling like we hadn’t quite played our best. But on the whole it was fun, the first full-band Katy Hurt gig since mid-July and we have another (much closer to home thankfully) in 2 weeks. Bass was of course the ACG, amp was the provided Ampeg SVT3 into a knackered 4x10 cab. Shoes were my brown suede Chelsea boots which now need a good drying 🤓

Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. Everything works perfectly - this is a proper workhorse of an amplifier, and small/light enough to use as a backup when gigging.     That’s a nice bass, I definitely prefer that finish to the other one. I’m after a maple board ideally but I should definitely give the higher end Yamahas a try, I know they’re great basses.

    I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.

    I doubt many at all. A bass designed to fit one man’s extremely niche requirements, and its ugly as sin on top of that! Hopefully they’re made to order.
