  2. Oh man I wish there was something like that closer to me! I did 10 years doing Big Band and loved it.
  3. They're not the same - the Grover Titan uses two locating/mounting screws. Those are Schaller M4S (or copies thereof), and they use locating pins built into the baseplate on the underside which are not visible from the front. Hey, you said "exact"...
  4. I am using it with either TE Elf or MB LM3...
  5. Errr, I started playing in about 1986 so I've had loads of sub £50 brilliant pedals as hardly anything went over £50 then! f*** I'm getting old!
  6. Super useful all-in-one with DI. Brilliant for jam and open mic nights. I've gigged it. It's very Ampeg sounding and just one of those things it's worth carrying. I have so much redundancy that this is ready for a new home.
  7. I quite like that. Different colour would be nice, but I'm not really fussed about aesthetics if an instrument plays well. I'd probably bin the Ibby preamp as well and put something else in. Headless on shorties makes so much sense - the string clamp means that just about any string can be used - on the older slant fret one I had I got TI flats to work properly with it without them coming unwound. Care is needed, but it's do-able!
  8. 100%, the existing ones don't look particularly bulky or heavy. On a lightweight bass 75g weight saving on the headstock might make enough difference though. Guyker do some open gear tuners they are 69g and work out at about £40 for a 5 string set, probably cheaper on AliExpress. Either way it would be a shame to lose those lovely stock tuning keys, Schaller M4 Light or BM Light might be a more suitable replacement if you don't want the visual downgrade of generic looking flat Y keys.
  9. Just played this now whilst chilling on a Friday night and I’m putting this on hold whilst I reconsider my options. Rare monster this and I feel like I’d regret it.
  10. https://www.ibanez.com/usa/products/detail/ehb1505s_1p_01.html Looks interesting.
  11. I'll cover the cost of shipping in the UK
  12. I didn't know they had dropped the cheap Barts - that's a very good decision as they were bloody awful and I ended up spending loads on some Aguilars instead. I didn't get on with the fan frets in the end but I might be tempted by 30 inch, trad frets and Nordys!
  13. Bow Thai Daddy — Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention
  14. @jimbobothy that’s essentially the same as mine as I only ever use passive mode v5 seems to be a passive version of v7 its very easy to play
  15. Very nice, sorry to hear about your circumstances Nick. First and foremost I hope that you find a suitable replacement position so you can hold on to your lovely basses. All the best, Mark.
  16. Ibanez also do the EHB headless 5 strings (can’t remember the exact designation). One is a plain 30” with conventional frets and the other is a fan fret multiscale 30-32”. Much cheaper than the Wilcox (nice as that is). They have interesting looking tops these days too and Nordstrand pups instead of the Barts that they had on the previous iteration. Very ergonomic bodies on the EHBs as well. P.S. Another advantage is that the string clamping mechanism means you can use standard scale strings and just cut off the excess. That gives you greater choice and often cheaper prices than if you are stuck using dedicated SS strings.
  17. Today
  18. Unused 45-105 + 130 Elixir strings. Price is for both sets including postage.
  19. I have a pair, but sometimes just use one on it's own. I found one cab to be underpowered with just an Elf (my backup amp), even with a reasonably restrained jazz outfit. It managed, but it was on the edge of capability. My head of choice with the One10's is a GK Legacy 800. Great with one cab, amazing with two. I tested an EBS Reidmar 750 through a One10 last week, and that was great too, although I still prefer my GKs.
  20. An excellent 6/12-stage phaser, being a clone of the revered Moogerfooger 103. I’ve just received a brand new exemplar from Andertons today as a replacement for one I bought a few months ago that had a loose connection. I’m on a drive to raise money due to unemployment so don’t even want to put this on my board. As yet I haven’t even opened it. I’m happy to leave it unopened or to open to test and photograph for the buyer (once payment is received) if desired. Price includes recorded UK postage. Stock photo for illustrative purposes.

  21. Chance to get it back for what you sold yours for, with the lovely tube you recommended too.
  22. I love this thing. The only reason I’m listing this is because I’d like to get the newest version. That is a lot more expensive so I need to recoup some funds towards it, otherwise I’d keep this too and use on a second board. In excellent condition, with a few cosmetic marks as pictured. No original box, power supply or MIDI breakout cable though (which is how it came to me). Will of course be packaged securely for postage.
