  2. I'm actually kicking myself about missing out on the Bergantino IP310 powered cab that was in the marketplace the other week. Something like that would be ideal, plug the POD or the FlyRig in, and away you go.
  3. No, this is useful information - thanks!
  4. Insane in the Brain - Cypress Hill
  5. That might be of interest to the OP. In the meantime my advice still stands, look at separates.
  6. Am I Going Insane - Black Sabbath
  7. Been asked by daughter (who's a music teacher!) to help research the above slide which she wants to include in a lesson. Going round clockwise - pics not hugely clear, but where I've got to is: 1. ?? Elvis lookalike 2. Chuck Berry 3. Beatles 4. Freddie Mercury 5. Beach Boys 6. Black Sabbath (obvs, haha!) 7. ?? Band with Ronnie Wood in? 8. ?? C&W star 9 ?? BB King If you recognise any of 1, 7, 8 or 9 please share your thoughts!
  8. Ah, sorry, didn't know that, I just use the file or a polishing block to do that.
  9. Bought a Fane 8" speaker from Ash, a totally hassle free transaction it arrived very quickly and was exactly as described. Thanks Ash 😁
  10. Bought a bass theory book from Nick, a totally hassle free transaction it arrived very quickly and was exactly as described. Thanks Nick 😁
  11. Brian bought a preamp valve off me - A great guy to deal with, highly recommended ☺️
  12. Yeah, I don’t know how many there are… but not many!
  13. Thanks. I am open to higher offers 😁
  14. Would it make me sound like a cork sniffer if I said that this was from after they sold out to Peavey... thus said I do have a couple cabs from this era, but very much prefer the older amps.
  15. @Hellzero I want to remove the push/pull entirely, not wire in split and series modes. @tauzero this is very helpful, thank you 🙏🏻 would you use 500k pots instead?
  16. They criticised your tone? WTAF? tell them to go f*** themselves with a fish fork 🤬
  17. Hello folks I recently acquired a Cool Z Medium Scale P Bass. It's real nice (might swap out the pickup at some point mind - no rush) The thing that bothers me is the balance - even on the strap It's a bit neck heavy and am looking at some options to help out - but reckon I could start by swapping out the tuners for something light weight? I have NO idea what these tuners are - but wonder if anyone knows of a lightweight drop in alternative without doing any drilling? Many thanks
  18. Yes. I was just more concerned for their dummer's health...
  19. I know, but @Sean and his predecessors aren’t actually dead as a result so I felt the spinal tap reference worked better with his situation in mind …. 🤷‍♂️
  20. Looney On The Bus — Roy Harper
  21. SR700 for SR500 €£$... For info Mk1 Barts are a Reverse P in a Soapbar.

  23. Damn, that’s a real nice piece of ash there…. I’d love to do this to mine as well, but the last bass I refinished with sandpaper gave me carpal tunnel… any way to remove it with heat or chemical?
  24. Did Fender offer a replacement single coil pickup during the 70‘ies for these 68-72 first series Telecaster basses with the single coil pickups ? I have seen one which has a date stamp 11876 , which seems to be 1976 if i am not wrong and i was told by the owner that it is a rare item and that in these years Fender offered them as replacement if the original pickup was broken….? In 1976 , Tele basses already had a mudbucker pickup…..perhaps they used the bottom plate of a guitar pickup to rebuilt a 1. version Telecaster pickup for a customer ? 👻🤗 it‘s Fender 🥹
  25. They all died in horrific on-stage accidents. Just sayin'.
  26. Weird People - Little Mix
  27. I've owned three Tribute JB-2 basses and preferred any and all of them to the JB jazz bass model which came along later (and also owned, pictured with the sonic blue JB2) I've owned the blue, pink and sunburst finished models and my favourite was the sonic blue with carribean rosewood fretboard. Used that as my main bass for close on a year and gigged it with my band at the time. Great neck, no frills passive jazz in a non offset body with really good sounding pickups. The alnico pickups in these basses get a lot of love and rightly so. Really strong sounding and articulate. You can't go wrong with them. The pink one I got had some shielding issues and the fretwork wasn't as good as the other two but was fine after somentime was spent putting it right. I also had a USA JB2 which was a fantastic instrument in every respect.
