If you wouldn't bring a bass into a situation you would put yourself into, you really need to reevaluate your life choices 😁

Bolo started following Tinnitus!!!!!!!
-
Earwax completely blocking the ear canal can seem like deafness, like having your ears under the water. The brain doesn't differentiate between signal loss from the inner ear, middle or outer ear, and can start acting up from lack of input. More likely is the prolonged wearing of the headphones which can lead to fatigue. My tinnitus has been with me for about 15 years, and has inspired me to change profession.

Up for sale is my spare Mackie DL1608 mixing desk with hard case. These are excellent digital mixers, I have another one that I have used for years. This one has only ever sat in the case and as such is in almost new condition. Only selling due to getting an upgrade. Comes with the power supply and hard case. You will need an ipad to run this and it can also be run wirelessly if you have a router. 16 x XLR ins, 4 x combi inputs, 6 x 1/4' aux outputs. In built compression, Eq, gates, delay and reverb, plus other effects. More info here: https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Mackie-DL1608-16-Channel-Digital-Sound-Mixer-w-Lightning-iPad-Control-Nearly-New/21CW Looking for £295 including postage

You can have both, I do. The hyperacusis is more recent (in the last 10 years). Fortunately, there is some form of treatment for it that involves listening to faint, white noise for short periods of time (mine in through my hearing aids), it’s still a new area apparently. However, this can trigger my tinnitus to be louder. 😤

https://www.lfsys.co.uk/bassguitarproducts Hey guys Before I pull the trigger on one of these, just want to hear some gig experiences and understand just how good this cab actually is. I've already spoken to Stevie who seems like a real gent, but it's still a lot of money for something i knew nothing about only a few days ago. This needs to be the very last cab purchase I make otherwise the missus will divorce me 😆. I've tried most cabs, mainly 212s (Barefaced, Vanderkley, Bergantino, EBS). The measurements of this cab mean it will fit in the boot of my MX5 which is a big plus, however I do not want to compromise this over the sound. I have a 5 string bass so must be able to handle the low B, and must be loud enough without any speaker distort/farting out. How does it compare to barefaced 112s and other high end 112s? Anyone played one on an outdoor gig? I'll stop blabbing on, but you get the gist. Thank you!! Freddie

BassmanPaul started following Tube/ valve head... Do I need one?

Nice old jazz there, would look nice in Olympic white, and with a nitro finish it would wear naturally

I like the light relic idea. I’m not in the UK, so I’m more likely to look locally if I do get it done, but thanks for the suggestion.

Hardly used Gruvgear duostrap, bought this a couple of years back when I had a shoulder injury but hardly ended up using it! Great for balancing the weight of your bass across both shoulders. More detail in the link below: https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Gruv-Gear-DuoStrap-Neo-Ergonomic-Double-Guitar-Strap-Black/1MF4?origin=product-ads&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22290702940&gclid=CjwKCAjw3_PCBhA2EiwAkH_j4oFmCIW3tKDA4q71KmcaVQa0RsGaQAIZ3dgJ_Zj-qyHL3Tohyz-p0xoChOwQAvD_BwE Looking for £50 including postage.

No, but there are a couple of their regulars in the line-up.

Thanks guys, I’m not partial to the current finish anyway. When I bought it, I was a broke music student and it was a jazz bass I could afford. The finish always looked like a homemade attempt to me anyway, so I’m not precious about that. Also, it’s of no particular value because of being “all original” - ‘cos it ain’t. It’s just a great player’s instrument. It’s purely about the sound to me and you’ve set my mind at ease on that front.

He did, that was the original point, it wasn't as good.

Superb jazz inspired bass with a modern take, nut width feels closer to a Precision but neck not as thick. Fitted with my preferred 35-95 Rotos with a low action, no unwanted fret buzz it really plays and sounds great. I have two and have decided to let one go. Its obviously been played over its 24 years so has some tarnishing, dings and scratches none of which affect functionality, really sad to see it go but letting stuff go to get a mortgage deposit going. Year – 2001 Body Finish – Gloss Black Body Wood – Alder Neck Finish – Satin Neck Wood – Maple Fretboard – Rosewood Frets – 21 Scale Length – 34” Weight – 10lbs/4.5kgs Electronics – Active Controls - V/V/T Pickups – x2 PRS High Inductance Hardcase – PRS Hardcase This is a USA made PRS, not a far eastern made bass. This is the Electric Bass line that was produced in Maryland, USA between 2000 & 2005. They made approximately 650 in total according to the PRS Serial number database Based in High Wycombe, J5 M40
