Would this be what you're thinking of. Our very own @woodyratm I think 🤔 Now where did I put that piggy bank / kids inheritance? 🤣 ....and even rarer is a JD Calibas. I've only ever seen 1 in the flesh, which I owned, and one 6 stringer advertised in the last 30+ years.

I was at that gig too Steve, yeah sound not that great but was pleased to see them as always thought there was just something "more" to them than a lot of the other bands around at the time. -

I’m not sure I quite understand your first sentence?! In that case, you’re not making the amp break-up, you’re just introduce a drive circuit before it, which is then being amplified. The test would be putting a significant clean boost in front of the amp capture, and seeing if that drives it. With no horse in the race, I too would not expect an amp capture to break-up, as it doesn’t have the information to do that in the same way a dynamic, controllable effect does, it’s just a snapshot of a single sound. I’d probably expect digital clipping (bad) before you achieved anything useable. But happy to be proven wrong of course. Si

14 TX64 Pads and Mounting arms Pads work perfectly well responding to all pad trigger areas and velocity. I originally had 3 full kits at my rehearsal room but have no need for them and most of the parts/frames etc have been sold. selling as a job lot as I’d rather not split and do individual postage. Collection is good too, NE26 or NE6 or could possibly drive to meet depending on distance. Any questions please ask. Thanks David I

I saw Supergrass open for Foo Fighters at Wembley Stadium many years ago. They were great but the sound sucked. They're all local to me and quite often see one or more of them out at local gigs in town. It's nice to see seriously successful pros out enjoying amateur local bands playing in a pub/park/festival. -

It's still a big lottery for £250 when you can get 2 proper Harley Bentons for that price...

NOW £70 POSTED Mackie 802 VLZ3 mixer Cracking little desk, I've used it for home recording and gigs - sounds great for both. Tons of features, great mic preamps, full working order, complete with PSU (euro plug with adaptor). Selling as I'm just not using it any more. Manual here http://kunstencentrumbelgie.com/overbelgie/802VLZ3_OM.pdf I'm in Manchester over the next couple of weeks - happy to meet at a services or even drop off if you're near the right motorway. Trades - I'm interested in Jamerson's original P Bass or *possibly* a compressor pedal - feel free to offer anything else.

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?
mikebass456 replied to nilorius's topic in General Discussion
Final rehearsal last night for the folk and cider festival gig on Saturday night. Ran through the full one hour set without major issues, plus tea and biscuits afterwards. Apart from playing through the songs, it gave me a last opportunity to sort out a few issues before the gig, including setting the volume balances between the two Uke basses I'm going to be using. With one having the poly strings and the other has phosphor bronze, there's a slight difference between the two, so for ease of switching mid-set, just had to back the PB strung Uke back a little to match the poly strung one (couple of slower songs mid-set that sound lots better with a more upright bass type sound). Looking forward to the gig now, on at 8pm for an hour, so a fair amount of the cider should have been consumed by the crowd by then. Total gear load in for me will be the two ukes in a Fusion double Uke case, small pedalboard and my new DB Hype 8 in a small holdall - one trip to and from the car! 👍
