  2. You need to edit the title (tap the three dots, I think, to access edit mode) with *** SOLD ***
  3. They are all sorts of reasons to not have them. But they serve a purpose in that it means that people get up on stage and actually do it. The sound will be pants because in general it is inexperienced musicians strutting their stuff with their bedroom curated TOOOOOONE. And often, by now, this is the only way for young bands to hit stages. So on balance, I think they are a good thing.
  4. That is absolutely gorgeous! I cant justify it, but someone will be very lucky!
  5. Can’t believe this is still here. It’s an absolute classic.

  9. Aargh I sold mine and still regret it. Sorry to hear about your situation. Amazing preamp.
  10. An excellent 6/12-stage phaser, being a clone of the revered Moogerfooger 103. I’ve just received a brand new exemplar from Andertons today as a replacement for one I bought a few months ago that had a loose connection. I’m on a drive to raise money due to unemployment so don’t even want to put this on my board. As yet I haven’t even opened it. I’m happy to leave it unopened or to open to test and photograph for the buyer (once payment is received) if desired. Price includes recorded UK postage. Stock photo for illustrative purposes.

  13. My Gnome has a fan? I didn’t know that. It's never been an issue and I have wound it up to quite loud sessions and also quite quiet sessions. I leave it on for long times (days) as well in my small office. It's a complete non-issue for me, as I had no idea it even had a fan.
  14. Did you sell this? I'm not that far away (Lanark area) and would be interested in a look. Cheers,
  15. I've put it in the diary. The only potential spanner is I am taking on the conducting role for a band and until next week I don't know what their gig diary looks like. Hopefully not a clash.
  16. What's the general opinion of battle of the bands type competitions? Ive not entered any been to a few for my daughters band and mates and it seems that a big part of winning is not about who is best but who turns up with the most mates to vote for them. 90% of the people in the room know who they're voting for before a single note has been played. Every one of these competitions Ive been to has awful sound. On the positive side, it puts bands in front of promoters and can result in bookings for decent bands who can perform. Its also good for filling a venue and giving them a few nights of good business. Most of these competitions do have judges as well as audience voting so maybe that evens things out a bit. I don't think music should be competitive.
  17. That's my old cab.....it's an absolute monster. Was gutted to have to part with it, HMRC had a better avenue for my money than me so it had to go. Whoever gets this gets a great cab at a great price from a lovely fella. Buy with confidence.
  18. My OCD is working overtime looking at that spaghetti junction next to and around your amp. 😂 That's my sore point when gigging. I hate when band members just through in cables any old way. I've been trying to teach our band that positioning cables carefully when setting up means quicker take down at the end and less chance of cable damage as people start tugging to free them. Can't say i'm having a lot of success tho because they know i repair them for free anyways. 😂 But i'll keep at it. Dave
  19. It would be great to see @lee650 as I've not seen him for what feels like an age.
  20. https://share.google/U5owh09omz454e5Sk Not sure if that attached OK but there's a 1995 Fender custom shop Rumble head in Stoke, relatively cheap for a 300 watt valve head. I believe these had cooling problems but that may be a few modifications away for someone in the know. Interesting amp if it's your thing anyway.
  21. Brilliant and made my day so far. Dave
  22. 100% Pete. I started going just after covid altho i've been an on/off gym goer over the years but this is the first gym i've stuck at 3 times a week. I started light with the weights and would start at 8 reps and work up to 12 reps. Once at 12 reps i upped the weight and back to 8. Its not always about how much you can lift either. The technique is more important with slow negatives offering more benefit than simply rapid up/down movements. I went for 2 yrs just doing my own thing in the gym but needed to move it forward and took on a PT for 10 sessions (2 1hr sessions per wk). Did that every 6mths - year just to push us and learn correct techniques. Then started taking classes in ABS training then HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) currently doing proper weight training class and body sculpt class. Two different styles of training in the gym. I don't struggle so much lifting PA cabs or kit these days and not out of breath when walking up stairs or even just lifting heavy objects. Went from just under 15st after Covid to 12st at the moment. Dropped from 36" waist to 32", from a Large T-shirt back to a Med. I'm now wearing same size clothes as i di in my 30's. Not bad for an old guy at 65. Dave
