Is the Anagram a better option than a used Quad Cortex which is perhaps 2 to 300 quid more?

Messy or not, what's on your (music) work desk right now?
tauzero replied to kiat's topic in General Discussion
I have a feeling I'm the winner. The actual area I generally use for a workbench is the bit of the keyboard drawer between the mouse mat and the edge, although I do occasionally move the keyboard to give me a bit more room. The settee to the right is a two-seater submerged to the same level all the way along. It looks very slightly messier than normal because Mrs Zero's watch is sitting on the keyboard being charged. -
So you can't do it all directly on the Anagram? That's disappointing. I thought you could just connect up, say, a pedal to a send, then the output of the pedal to a return, and capture it that way, all directly on the Anagram itself. Here's a question... if you set up a patch with an amp and IR, is it possible to route a signal with them to the XLR out, and a signal without them to the 1/4" output jack, so you can go into an amp without the amp emulation?

How was your open mic or jam night last night?
tauzero replied to tauzero's topic in General Discussion
I'm not sure whether this should be in this thread or the "Rehearsals" one. I've been sort of recruited to a(nother) band and last night was our first go at playing together. It was a combination of band rehearsal and jam night, with the next one being in a weeks time at a different venue. We did it at the Shirley British Legion which is where I go to an open mic night, and as we had one attendee from the open mic night who did a few songs, I think we can call it a jam night. Plus we did a lot of jamming. So it looks like Magnolia Protocol is now a band. -

Convenient car parking PA, drumkit, and decent backline provided, and a decent sound engineer Good sized and enthusiastic crowd Air conditioning if indoors, sun and a light breeze if outdoors No technical gremlins Well paid, promptly, and a rebooking Entering into the world of fantasy, no mistakes by anyone.

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?
Bluewine replied to nilorius's topic in General Discussion
I think there's two issues I'm dealing with Dave. Other than gig announcements we have practically no communication. 2nd, I'm in retirement mode, everyone else in the band is working and will be working for another 30 years. Daryl -
Somebody that didn't need another head just bought one of these B-stock plus some extra discount..... Fool and his money thing.... It was a killer deal. The said fool above will be selling the 500w killer that's way more than the fool needs. Maybe the RM 300 will go. But might get "the wife look." Anyone know what valve brand these have in them? When I got my older 500 it had an odd brand. I emailed Ashdown and Dave Green said JJ. "This item was returned in mint condition. It is free of any performance issues, and has no scratches, blemishes, or other cosmetic flaws."

So, the class action against multiple LLM's by authors who had their work ripped to train AI's is now open to authors outside the USA and is gathering pace, there are a number of ways to sign up for the action. A few commentators who are over this think that this may bankrupt the developers entirely as the penalties for IP theft are high. I wonder if such a class action could be brought over music that has been used to train AI music compositional algorithms, those Record labels and publishing boys sure do love a lawsuit...

Really enjoying this bass, only had it about 5/6 months ago. Punches WAY above its weight ( and it pretty light) fantastic B string with addario EXL 170’s on it and it’s slightly under 34 inch scale. Best £730 I’ve ever spent i reckon. It just cuts through the mix SO well. I’m a very happy bunny! X

I also have an irrational fear of batteries dying! I'm just a miserable young scallywag. Thankful my bass only has two pickups though and no piezo volume knob! That sounds awful -

I had been looking for a bat winged Harmony for some years , and had also told myself that I was not going to import any more guitars from the US. When it happens , it happens. I love this bass , it’s a classic thumper.

Irrational dislikes? visually messy pedalboards too many wires basses that don't look normal (not in the popular styles of Fender, Musicman, etc) Fender Mustangs headless basses bandmates who repeat the same old corny jokes (and chuckle away before they can get it out of their mouths) on stage to an unimpressed audience - maybe that's rational Flea's playing (sorry fans), but not his basslines grating colours! -
I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.

Don't mind an f-hole personally, but I'd have to agree that there are more stylish variants
