Exactly what I started with, when I came back to the low end.

That's very kind of you, thanks! I don't need a lot - just refinishing the area you see above, some in the neck pocket and some in the holes for the neck screw ferrules. 50ml maybe? 75? I'm not very good at gauging it.

Hello back to you, also from the High Peak!

The thing is that all of those songs (with the possible exception of Jimmy Buffet's back catalogue) were f***ing great the first time you heard them! Yes, you may be sick to the back teeth of them now, but you shouldn't underestimate how good they were until you got sick of them, because you heard them so many times. Of course, this is because people overplayed these songs because they were such brilliant tracks to begin with. I have to play Stairway regularly at gigs because I'm in A Zep tribute band. Although I roll my eyes every time I have to play it, it is worthwhile because of the reaction from punters who perhaps, haven't been as over-exposed to it as much as I have been. The same thing goes for SOTW, as Dunnery says, the simple chromatic bass run up and then playing straight 8s on the root as the riff and drums build moves people in a way that all the shredders playing unbelievable stuff on social media never will.

I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁

6 gigs in last 14 days, all weddings, and all without noise restrictions (absolute miracle to get so many non restricted ones in a row) and 4 were in marquees (so much better for sound) so we we've been able to use my PA for all. Its a super simple setup of 2 x rcf 932a and 2 x rcf 905 subs run via a behringer x-air 18. All on in ears. Acoustic drums and i got to use my amp too. Lovely to have full control over sound with a simple PA that just does the job right. Pull up the band's standard scene, short soundcheck, tweak for room and away we go.

I have had quite a few Markbass cabs and amps ( Markbass 250 / LM11/ LM3 / Momark 250 / Markbass Tube800 ) I have always found the cabs to be “soft “ , and it’s only when I switched to Vanderkley Cabs and suddenly I climbed out of the mud. My small gig rig is Momark 250 pure ( no EQ ) into a EA 12 whizzy . Bigger gigs is Markbass Tube 800 into Vanderkley MNT 210 .

My favourite cat food is Felix. I'm assuming this is the cat food thread, but I haven't read the title or any of the posts including what the OP wrote.

Bill, many thanks. Much appreciated.

Judging by the pictures, you are very close to the edge of the fingerboard on the G side already, moving the bridge might be risky.

I was also going to recommend Armstrongs. Kent Armstrong was Dan (Danelectro) Armstrong's son so his dad knew a bit about Lipstick pickups.

Ampeg Pro Neo bass speaker cabinet in very good condition as you can see in the pictures this is an 8 ohm cabinet? As you can see on the back? 850 Watt has 4 x10 eminence speakers inside put a high frequency horn unit controlled at the back. This was used with a second identical in the 60s band so bought for Sound tone rather than volume The speaker comes in the flight case purposely made by Ultrasonic. The flight case is on casters and fits perfectly and protect the speaker as you can see in the picture collection only due to the size of the buyer to make arrangement to be picked up . this is for one cab and need to move this on due to need space £400

I love a Sunday afternoon gig, especially when it's outside and doubly so when it's "acoustic". Lots of the usual songs, but played in an unusual way. Perhaps Sir Duke was a little ambitious - I ran out of both strings and fretboard! It was a request/challenge though and much fun was had. There were plenty of requests, and even a bit of dancing. It's great to have a good laugh when playing and there was a decent crowd too enjoying themselves. I even got to drink a pint or two for a change as Mrs Norris drove home. Stagg EUB straight into the Rumble. Converse footwear, O'Neill eye protection

I find these to be such underrated bits of kit. I've had this set up twice in the past and only moved it on twice as I always find myself wanting to try something different. The fact I've owned this same set up twice says a lot! I've probably owned 100-150 different rigs and only have owned the same rig on multiple occasions twice... this and an Eden WT1205. (Yes, firmly aware I've said the word 'twice' 5 times!)

Just seen this from Francis Dunnery on Facebook that made me think of this thread "At 62 years old, so far as guitar playing is concerned, 'fast' has lost its relevance. I watch a hundred guitar players a day on social media playing utterly incredible licks and runs, stunning dexterity, outrageous acrobatics, tapping, arpeggios, faster and faster until it sounds like a pacman arcade game. But to be honest, at this stage of the game I'd rather listen to the acoustic guitar part in 'band on the run' or 'horse with no name'. That's what age does to you. Most of the people who look for attention performing on a stage are unconsciously trying to get their parents approval via an audience. 'look at me, look how special I am'. When you get older you don't need that. You have your own approval. You've accepted yourself for what and who you are. All of the showboat guitar playing is actually fantastic. It really is. But I still prefer the riff from 'smoke on the water' and that great moment when the bass comes in. It never really got any better than that for me."

The values of the resistors don't matter, you don't want to use them. As mentioned a crossover splits the frequencies to highs and lows. That capacitor isn't a crossover, it's a high pass filter, a very poor one at that. TBH I wouldn't bother with the tweeter, unless for some reason you feel the need for it. A fifteen doesn't reach high enough to be used with a tweeter of that sort. If you want improved upper midrange/lower high frequency response and dispersion a sealed back 6.5 inch will work far better...with a real crossover, of course. You can find full specs on the woofer here. The page is in French, but that doesn't affect the T/S parameter abbreviations. https://petoindominique.fr/php/mysql_thiele_seul.php?hp=5054

The sell off continues; arthritis in my fingers Next up is my rig, Genz Benz Streamliner 600 and Barefaced 210S. This listing is for the Streamliner amp. Happy to talk about a deal if you want both items. It's in very good condition as I hope the pics testify, and in full working order. It has been used as my back line for a few years but you really wouldn't guess that from the overall great condition. I had a full service carried out a couple of years ago and the sticker for the place that did it is on the side of the amp as you can see in the pics. It will come with a kettle lead and a Gator carry case. If you ask me nicely I could add a Speakon cable too. All of this for £400 or very near offer please. Collection or meet up preferred. Slightly nervous about posting due to valves inside, but if you are happy to accept the risk this could be arranged at cost. Here are the pics:
