  2. £1600 inc. shipping
  3. The thing with all technology is that if it does everything you need it for today it will continue to do everything you need it for until the actual hardware fails. Besides you can get a 2025 model iPad for under £400, so hardly the "best part of the grand". If needed an iPad for on-stage use I'd buy something cheap (reconditioned or second hand) that did the job I needed it for and only use it for that job. Then if it gets broken/stolen/lost at a gig I haven't also lost my tablet for home use.
  4. That's correct. It's been mentioned previously in this thread, but, to confirm, it was made in Japan. Serial number is M2148. Made in 2008 according to the Sadowsky website https://sadowsky.com/support/serial-numbers/
  5. Oops sorry can you remove it I'll repost
  6. Yeah - you can't post sales here. Needs to go in the Marketplace: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/19-basses-for-sale/ Nice bass though!
  7. Selling off a trio of Boss DD series delay pedals after a bit of a change up. Simple and reliable, a little wear and tear, but all in generally good condition. DD-3, DD-6 and DD-7 available. £90 (ONO) each, including postage, or message me if interested in more than one and we’ll sort a deal!

  8. My first bass.... not been used due to a new purchase. Bought new, never left the house. As per photos, like new condition. Collection only from Leeds. Not looking for a trade and absolutely will not post as 1: I don't have box and 2: I wouldn't trust a courier do deliver it in the same condition it left in. You are welcome to pop round to try it out. I only have a Spark 40 amp so feel free to bring your own to try with it. My first post, I'm not one for posting on forums but am an avid reader. Any questions, will try to answer but I'm very much a beginner so nothing too technical please 🙃
  9. I have to admit that I started off as being a plug-in hoarder. I'm like a magpie for shiny shiny things ha ha! There's plenty that could be uninstalled now after 5-6 years with the same machine. The next application I need is one that will help me organise the handful of plugins that are really useful and the ohers can either be moved to a separate folder or removed swiftly! I just haven't gotten around to doing something about it. I guess that means I'm busy, which isn't a bad thing.
  10. Enjoy your retirement @musicbassman and keep coming here. 😊 I'm about to do the same at soon 60 years old, but only because I have no more will to join another band as the duet I was in is over since last month. I'll focus on piano and do a bit of summer cleaning...
  11. That is a drawback. I’ve reached the age where a tablet is a necessity, as apps on my phone are too small to read and far too fiddly to use. My iPad is 8 years old and Apple are clearly edging it into obsolescence by reducing updates. I’m dreading the day when I have to shell out the best part of a grand to replace it! However, there are reconditioned units around for quite reasonable prices, if the latest and greatest is not a priority.
  12. so spot on mate. playing originals on a Tuesday night to no one is soul destroying

  14. Tomorrow night (Friday 30th) in Darlo!
  15. My band, The Spacewasters played in Malta earlier this year (I didn’t go as no longer get on planes) and they did a deal with the organising Malta band that they got all the door money, with a reciprocal agreement that the same happened when the Malta band came over here - which happened last weekend. Sadly with things the way they are it’s unlikely that similar could be arranged but it may be worth trying to set up something like that with a local band who would be willing to play for expenses only.
  16. Bought an EMU rack unit from @ash. Easy and quick transaction, clear and cheerful communications, quick delivery, all adding up to my most enjoyable Tier 2 Fail yet. Robert
  17. This is very useful to know, in fact as far as I can see it is the first/only time the actual weight has been mentioned anywhere online. It is just about on my self-imposed 4kg limit. Once Bass Direct have them in stock I'll make a trip there to try it out vs the new Ibanez EHB. I think I'll probably prefer a few things on the SP1 like the tone and front facing jack, 22 frets (more room in that plucking area), body shape, and the look...but I expect the Ibanez will stack up in a similar way for scale lengths, tone, and playability and will be about 0.5kg lighter (and £250 cheaper) so it'll be a tough call.
  18. Yoko Ono: no need to change a letter to ruin it, but not her.
  19. And the VULF Compressor
  20. Yep, but when you go back in time, he already had THAT sound with a stock Jazz Bass, so, here, it's really all in the fingers.
  21. junglist massive - m-beat
  22. StringsDirect also sell Switchcraft barrel jacks.
  23. I've solved the problem by only using two plug-ins that weren't part of the Logic Installation, and while both these third party plug-ins make life a bit easier when composing or recording neither are essential.
